I took this video when the Scream Machine opened I think in Sept 1989 in my 1981 Bronco with my Mom and Sister.
Monkeys no longer run free. I remember one pooped on my hold and they are known to rip the antennas off and molding.
They had a Safari employee at the exit that would get the Monkeys off the car if still on.
This was the best park about going to the park back then,the monkeys always had us cracking up.

they did have a bypass road for those that didn't want to venture in the the Monkeys lair LOL   

Great video, thanks for putting this up Tom! It was nice to see monkeys being monkeys again! If they were still running loose, I'd go through the Safari on every visit to the park.
