I'm definitely not in any hurry to ride this coaster.  It can wait until September.  Those OTSR's have hurt me on every other coaster that has them so I think it's a safe bet to say they'll hurt me on 305.  Seeing the POV only reinforces that.

lol. I didn't realize Intimadator 305 is open already.. Painful turns due to the OTSR remind me of Maverick. I'll keep my hands down the first ride.

update: straps are now on the trains. It almost looks as if they just put padding over the shoulder portion of the restraint.

The entire first drop is still trimmed so I still don't think the ride can be any better from this IMO

PLEASE put those on Kingda Ka!!  They actually remind me a lot of the OTSR's on the flyers.  Probably more closer to the Vekomas since B&M still has the steel bars come down as well.  I'm only guessing but maybe Intamin wasn't ready with these in time for the park opening and had to go with the old style as a temporary solution?

I'm curious to try the "new version" of i305, now that it's been slowed down and comfy-fied.
