It's simple, we, uh, kill the Batman.

So i was going through a box of old photos and came across ones from when I went to Great Adventure for Safety Patrol Day back in June of 1995.

Nothing too great, some parachute photos, a photo of Batman (I probably should have scanned them all but they're packed up and I won't find them again woops). BUT, I did scan this one:

Are they finishing Viper in the background?!

EDIT: I went and dug and found the other photos. A trip down memory lane! They are attached below

Happy Birthday Jerry!

El Toro looks so much better in that spot.
It looks so strange to see Viper there.

^Nice.

So for a good question:

How many times in a row have you guys been on it. If I remember right mine was like 10 before getting my neck iced and braced.

I never found Viper as painful as many seemed to...then again, I have ridden Zonga...sigh.

I think at one time I did ride it a dozen times in a row at a Coaster Celebration, many years ago.

Zonga, previously known as Texas Tornado at Astroworld (and was in Germany before that as Thriller) not only had OTSR's, it had the same type of push down your shoulder and make it hurt restraints that Viper did:

IT hurt.  Badly.

I remember Viper vividly. I think togo was the maker of it. It was the first circuit coaster with a heartline roll. The worst coaster ever, I hated the drop, I hated that dive loop that it had, I especially hated the roll at the end. The only reason why I rode it was because it was there and there wasn't a line for it.

I wish I went on it before it was taken down too. I didn't start going to the park regularly until 2004, and every time I went George was like NO. WE ARE NOT GOING ON IT.

It wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It wasn't a top ten or even top 50 by anymeans, but I thought the drop was sick and the rolls were fun. The only part that really hurt was the turn into the brakes after the last heartline.

Is El Toro better than Viper?  Is ice cream better than kitty litter as a dessert?
