xx 2011 Season Passes Now On Sale!
Posted August 29, 2010, 12:35:33 AM by jglonek
2011 season passes are now on sale at the park and online. Here's the official site link for more information!

The breakdown is:

$89.99 for a two park pass, $79.99 a piece if you buy 4 or more
$109.99 for a three park pass, $99.99 a piece if you buy 4 or more

Parking is $15 a day, $25 a day (for preferred), or $48 a season. (This was hard to find, and only comes up on their normal ticket page).

It looks like the passes are still good at any Six Flags theme park, so nothing has changed with the new management yet for cheaper 'home park' passes and premium 'all park' passes. However parking is still just for one park.

And they are currently running a promotion to get free season pass parking if you buy at least four passes by the end of the season.

xx Mark Kane Replaced as GM of SFGA
Posted August 24, 2010, 06:27:34 PM by coastersue
I don't know how official this is, but it appears that SF has let GM's go from 3 of their parks, including Mark Kane.

http://www.examiner.com/adventure-parks-in-los-angeles/six-flags-magic-mountain-gm-jay-thomas-fired

Jerry's update:

This was confirmed as true this morning by the Asbury Park Press. John Fitzgerald has replaced Mark Kane as the General Manager/Park President of Six Flags Great Adventure. You can read all the information on the new GM at the link.

We are not sure what happened with Mark at this point - there are articles stating that the park president of Magic Mountain left for a job at Six Flags Corporate. It's unclear if Mark did the same or was just let go from the company. If he is still with the company at a corporate level, congrats to him!

If Mark is no longer with Six Flags we here at Great Adventure Outpost want to thank him for all the times he spent talking to us, and to all the park guests. Mark, you were always listening to our comments and concerns and we feel that Great Adventure has improved drastically under your watch. We wish you luck wherever your career leads you.

Six Flags has released a press statement announcing that James Reid-Anderson has been named the company's permanent CEO, replacing interim CEO Al Weber after 3 months.

xx New Website Under Construction!
Posted May 13, 2010, 12:17:43 PM by jglonek
I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise to many, but we are working on the next version of Great Adventure Outpost! We hope to have it rolled out sometime this summer.

While we have our own great ideas for it, and plan on making it the best it can be, we still want to hear from you, the members! What do you want to see on the new site? What do you want to be different on it from this current one? What do you want to make sure doesn't get changed? What do you love? What do you hate? We want to know!

Thanks to everyone in advance for submitting your thoughts and ideas. We can't wait to roll the new site out!

And as a treat, here's a tease of what you have to look forward to. We hope you like it!

xx Six Flags News Board
Posted December 09, 2009, 02:52:07 PM by rjholla2003
As you may have noticed, we have created a new board devoted to news around the Six Flags chain.  We felt that the Six Flags specific news deserved a place where it could stand out by itself instead of being buried among the rest of the industry news.  Also, some of you may have noticed that our Twitter feed has been pulling some threads from the site and posting them.  This reorganization will help with that effort as well, without having to worry about non-relevant things getting posted.  Enjoy the new boards, and fill it with all that Six Flags news!

xx Twitter!
Posted October 01, 2009, 10:50:21 AM by jglonek
We have been on Twitter for a few months now, but haven't been using it to the fullest. So starting today we are going to change all that!

If you notice, on our main page there is now a "Tweets" section that contains our latest Tweets. You can interact with them in that widget itself, or you can visit our Twitter page at http://twitter.com/gadvoutpost.

We will be using Twitter to post random things involving the park, as well as any breaking news that needs to be announced before one of us can get to writing it on the main page. We will definitely still be using the website for news posts and such, but we wanted to give everyone another way to keep in touch with us!

Examples of what you will find on our Twitter:
- "3 rides on Bizarro is a good conslation prize for wind-cancelled Saturday Night Lights. Smiley"
- "Govenor Corzine knows how to draw a crowd! Traffic's back to KFC!"

We hope you guys enjoy this! Feel free to follow us and chat with us!
