Hey guys, I'm new to this site, but let me just say that I am just about as big a of a fan of Great Adventure as you can be.  Season pass every year since 1999, I'm in love with the place. Hel, I even have the park maps from 2000-Present hanging in my room! But enough about me, I just thought it would be cool to discuss your favorite memories of the best park there is. Mine is an event that occurs every year, driving up the ramp, past the good old "Six Flags Great Adventure and Wild Safari + Hurricane Harbor" sign, making that turn and seeing the skyline of the park for the first time that season. So let's here yours!  Grin

Still my favorite Great Adventure memory. Those rides still rank as my most thrilling rides on Kingda Ka, and some of my all-time favorite memories period.

If you can't tell, there's quite a few of us who were very lucky on here.

Exactly what happened with the whole hurricane harbor thing?

Btw, my favorite moment was getting the opportunity to ride kingda ka for the first time. I tried the five previous days to ride it back in '05 and something happened each try that denied me from riding it. When I finally had the opportunity I was one of the first to ride it during the day and one of the employees noticed me and knew how many times I tried to get on the ride that summer. He was kind enough to buy me a picture that day after I finally got the opportunity to ride it. The same thing (other than the picture part) happened to me with el toro the year after lol.

Hurricane Harbor is where the Heliport is, so when it would need to land to change film or whatever else it would have to do, that's where it would go. Even with HH being so close, watching it rise up from over the trees looked like a horizon shot out of a movie.
