If you are a college student and interested in one of these fields, I would definitely recommend checking out one of these internships. The experience is a unique one that exposes you to dynamics of your chosen field that is very beneficial in a traditional role. On top of that, unlike most internships, you actually get PAID for it. Nothing is worse than draining your savings all summer to work and get nothing out of it aside from "experience". I would also suggest talking to your school about getting credits for the internship. That just adds a nice touch to what is a good package.

Yeah, that is unfortunate. My one friend who went to school for engineering took a position up in rides so she could get to know the mechanics and engineers and try to use that to get a foot in the door, or at least absorb something just from being around them.
