Title: Modify Hiccups :P
Post by: darkridedan on December 15, 2008, 12:38:26 PM
When I was modifing a post, I encountered a problem with geting logged out after I pressed [SAVE]. I got a message that I did not have permission to modify the post. I was sent to a page for posting a new thread and on another attempt I received a message that I had already submitted my post. I went back and pressed [SAVE] again and after a few tries, it saved my post. It wasn't a problem. Thankfully, our posts are still available when we hit the back button!

I love that feature.  ::)

Was this a new post or one that you did before we moved everything over? Not that it probably makes a different but its always good to know!

LOL. It was an older post before the move.

You'll have to get used to me Jerry. I often erase the most important detail to my posts!

haha. I do IT Help Desk stuff all day so itll be hard for anything on here to top that.

For instance, here's a ticket I got this morning: "info is being lost even when saved button is pushed "

We have about, eh 10 different programs you could be saving stuff in.

But anyway, yeah I'm wondering if there's some strange sessions setting in SMF where the posts before the move have different ones for the posters than after the move, so it freaks when they aren't the same.

The question is, how many people will be modifying old posts pre today all the time? :)

These are the little quirks that scare me.  And leave it to Dan to find it LOL

Hopefully it's only on old posts and hopefully it's only a few at that so we can safely ignore this problem :D
