I have something else to announce today that we have been working on - a mobile version of Great Adventure Outpost!
You can access it from the computer, or from any wireless phone, at the following address: m.gadvoutpost.com (http://m.gadvoutpost.com).
Right now the abilities of the site are pretty basic. Each day you can click on any of the parks, and it will give you the current park hours, if there are any events going on, and what rides are currently closed. But it's an easy way to quick-reference information on the go!
There is also a link to access a mobile version of the forums as well!
What else would you guys like to see a mobile version of our site be able to do? We want suggestions so we can add them into future updates!
Also, if any of you guys have problems accessing that site from your phone let us know! Remember to include what kind of phone you have.

in the Mobile forums if there was a "recent posts" link would make navigation much quicker

T-Mobile is awesome with 3G. It's like a totally different carrier now, I absolutely love it and the prices can't be beat.

T mobile is notorious for having signal issues in certain types of buildings and glass in this area. Verizion works basically everywhere around here - even on elevators, hotels, train tunnels, big dig, everywhere I travel I have yet to drop a call. ATT on the other hand completely totally 100% sucked for me. But yes, Verizon is overpriced. I think T mobile might actually have a faster 3G network but is that simply because they don't have the same number of subscribers?

Sprint has been great for me. Their 3G network is huge, reception is great, and the price is great too. The only two gripes I have is:
1. They disable picture mail on their smartphones. I believe they recently developed an application for Windows Mobile to enable it, so hopefully a BlackBerry app isn't too far behind.
2. Their outsourced tech support. Their domestic support staff is great. Not a single problem. But when you're calling an overseas call center, it's far from great. You'll eventually get the problem fixed, but they only know scripts. That's fairly common though, so it's hard to fault Sprint for that.

Correct AT&T 3G is slow because of the number of subscribers using it (mainly on iPhones).
T-Mobile's network is so nice because there is rarely anyone using the 3G.

Sprint is in a bit of trouble, but I haven't seen anything pointing towards a inevitable collapse yet. They seem to be the Six Flags of the cell phone world at the moment.

All they have over in Europe is T-Mobile and some phone company called Vodafone which sucks..
T-Mo UK is so much better then T-Mo US and they have much better phones as well.

Yes T-Mo Parent company resides in/from Europe and even a few years ago T-Mo was going to shout down its US operations but decided not to.
ATT has the FUZE (TILT replacement) which is still the most advanced phone out there (but screen is not that big).
And has a few Awesome phones in the wings which I'm holding out for.

But that's all going to change in 1-3 years when G4 LTE spec. phones pop which will up the speeds to 100Mpbs down and 50mpbs up (you could replace you home device). LTE is based on GSM standard
Verizon Wireless has decided to throw its lot in with 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) as the wireless carrier eyes an eventual deployment of and transition to 4G. LTE is potentially capable of 100Mbps downloads, 50Mbps uploads, and latencies of as little as 5ms (for small IP packets) for each 20MHz of spectrum available. LTE can handle up to 200 simultaneous users per 5MHz slice of spectrum.
Currently, Verizon Wireless operates a CDMA network in the US (Sprint is the other major US CDMA carrier). One of its corporate parents, Vodafone, operates a GSM network in Europe—the same technology used by the AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the US. LTE is part of the GSM family, so Verizon's announcement heralds a change for the company.

Just what does AT&T (NYSE: T) plan on doing with all that 700Mhz B-Block spectrum (from the 700Mhz FCC auction) (the analog TV Band) and that valuable swath of 700Mhz C-Block spectrum (from Aloha Partners)? It looks like AT&T is going to use the fresh-off-the-grill spectrum to launch its own 4G LTE mobile broadband network.The additional spectrum firmly plants AT&T at the head of the spectrum-owning game - the B-Block spectrum combined with the C-Block spectrum holdings will give AT&T 100% coverage in the top 200 US markets and 87% coverage over the entire US.
“Results of the auction bidding demonstrate the B Block was the most attractive, most valuable spectrum available, and it was the best investment for AT&T and our customers,” said Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO of AT&T’s wireless division.
AT&T’s LTE network isn’t expected until 2012,

The ATT Fuze is the HTC Touch Diamond Pro on Sprint, and that is definitely one sexy phone. Sprint is working on it's 4G network too, but I don't remember much of the details for it. The 4G revolution looks like it's geared towards one uniform standard on all sides.

I can take my SIM card out and place it in any unlocked GSM phone.And do everytime I want to swithc phones or sell mine on ebay.

I know someone who has the Storm with Verizon and he was telling me how it was the first Verizon phone to have a SIM card. From what I understood it sounded like his Strom had a SIM card

the only Carriers that make use of SIM cards are ATT and T-Mobile where as you can remove your card with all your info attached to it and insert it in another Unlocked GSM phone. the SIM slot for in use with say Nextel,Sprint or Verizon are Proprietary or for "other Use"
in other words stay away from any CDMA carrier if you switch phones often or want to save money and be free to use any type of phone you want..unlike Verizon and Sprint (CDMA) where you have to take your phone TO THEM and and pay them to switch your phone.
but yes we need a industry STANDARD and looks like LTE may be it
I'm hoping ATT gets the Whitestone W (an HTC Touch HD with kickstand, 3.8" screen), and Rhodium (an HTC Touch HD with QWERTY keyboard,3.8" screen) in the works soon or other phone, my TILT is about 1.3 years old already and my just jump to the FUZE before the TILT dies on me.
I have 2 phone contract ready for upgrades

AT&T (NYSE: T) has been running trials in Chicago to test the network upgrades that would offer data speeds of 7.2Mbps and more.
Previously, the carrier confirmed that it will be using LTE for its 4G network, adding that in the meantime they will update the existing HSPA network with faster HSPA+ technology. As a result, at some point in the future, users will experience downlink speeds of up to 14.4Mbps, as well as uplink speeds of up to 2Mbps.
In the meantime, 3.6Mbps is the best you can expect in perfect conditions
