WORLD’S TALLEST DUELING TRAP DOOR SPEED SLIDES COMING TO CLEMENTON PARK AND SPLASH WORLD!

CLEMENTON, New Jersey, January 27, 2011 – The world’s tallest dueling trap door, fully-enclosed extreme thrill slides launch this summer at the better-than-ever Clementon Park and Splash World. The fourth new and exciting attraction added to the Park in just four seasons under ownership by Adrenaline Family Entertainment, Inc., this thrilling, one-of-a-kind wet and wild experience takes extreme water sliding to a new level of fun.

This awesome new attraction, appropriately dubbed “Torpedo Rush”, stands a skyscraping 60’ tall and offers two identically-designed and simultaneously-launched free-fall drops of joy. Upon ascending the massive tower Guests climb into a clear, fully-enclosed launch capsule to begin the countdown to the most thrilling moment in water slide fun today. As the countdown clock approaches “zero” and the anticipation of being “launched” gets the adrenaline rushing, riders will squirm with anticipation waiting for the bottom to rip out from under them beginning a sizzling-fast six-story journey through an enclosed, see-through flume to an explosive splashdown below.

“We are proud and excited to bring this first-ever attraction to this jewel of a Park”, said David Dorman, Clementon Park and Splash World’s Vice President and General Manager. “I cannot wait to see the thrill on our Guests faces when they get launched through a clear six-story silo into a watery and refreshing splash below. It’s the newest kind of water slide fun and it’s available only at Clementon Park and Splash World!”

There are plenty of other new improvements in store for 2011 as well. Huge new 20’ shade structures will be installed throughout the water park to provide comforting shade on those super sunny summer days. Every pool in the water park, including the massive quarter mile Endless River, is being completely overhauled to look like new. Even the children’s ride area is receiving a brand new attraction, the all new Kidzland Castle.

“Our commitment to providing new family-fun experiences in an ever-improving facility is unwavering”, says Dorman, “and this season the place for families to get all their summer fun close to home and at an affordable price is Clementon Park and Splash World.”
The best way to visit Clementon Park and Splash World this summer is with a season pass. Just $49.99 plus tax at clementonpark.com, the season pass offers unlimited visits, free tickets for friends and great discounts on in-park food and merchandise. Park opens for the season on Saturday, May 21.

Clementon Park and Splash World is owned by Adrenaline Family Entertainment Inc., based in Edmond, Oklahoma.  The park, located in Clementon, NJ, is among the oldest operating parks in the country and has been operating since 1907.

Thats because you don't ever come with a company/group!
I'm here practically every Wednesday-Sunday all summer long.  Its a long long summer for me.

There is an event coming up in August that I'll tell you guys about later on that you should both come for!

Also, vertical construction officially started Friday!  I think we have a handful of pictures up on our facebook.. if not I'll post some later on today.  At this point the majority of the steel work is up and it looks like they might start putting the slide pieces up by the middle of the week!

I thought I'd take a minute and post some of the pictures I snap on my daily tour away from the office!

The capsules were the last things to arrive at the park

The slide is right where the "castaway cove" was, and very briefly the site of our cabana's

Pretty interesting, I've seen a handful of roller coasters go up.. but the steps taken to put tubing together is really interesting.. and time consuming.

Tube in the air!

This was as of 4 pm today (5/9/2011).  All that is missing from the structure are the capsules.
