Title: New Steel Dragon 2000 Trains from B&M
Post by: Millennium Force 44 on March 17, 2013, 05:07:05 PM
Just found this on Facebook. Pretty cool! This must be the first B&M train to have 2 across seating.

Nope. They made the trains for Psyclone at Magic Mountain too.

FYI if you click on the picture in Shoe's link, it takes you to another picture and so on.

Unless Steel Dragon was more forceful that the average Morgan hyper coaster, the B&M restraints probably make the ride less enjoyable now for the non-skinny peeps. Will be interesting to hear feedback from riders comparing the new trains to the old trains.

I think the trains look great on there, especially on that picture of the first drop.

It just sucks that now some previous riders won't be able to fit since Morgan teains are way more accommodating than B&M trains.

true but the majority of Japanese folk will probably have no trouble fitting =D

True, but a loose Morgan lapbar is more thrilling than a tight B&M lap bar, especially on a ride that was designed to not need a tight lapbar.   Imagine if Phoenix suddenly had B&M lapbars. Sideways sad face.

That's basically what B&M has done to Steel Dragon. :-(

So I just read that because of the new B&M trains and restraints, taller riders such as myself are apparently no longer able to ride. They pulled an Intamin and made the restraints accommodating for shorter riders at the expense of taller riders. Go B&M.

See I read that it was a clearance issue with the new more open trains.

Oops I misread lower height restriction as lower minimum height requirement. Anyhow, totally lame move.
