Title: knoebels 2015 project
Post by: dkny6363 on February 07, 2014, 12:02:11 AM
Almost took this to the tree fort... but I'm looking for buckling down, and hashing this one out. With no tangents that the tree house is famous for.

People are saying a main building/entrance but not a gate as per say. Just a clear entrance spot. Also hearing a lot of terrain coaster chatter. Who would build this?

If it's wood, Knoebels builds their own, no? I think they built Twister and do all the work on Phoenix.

Yes, but they would probably have TGG or GCII design it. Their previous woodies although built in-house were based on previous designs tweaked by John Fetterman.  They haven't engineered a ride entirely from scratch, although they could.

Could be a major waterpark expansion.

Face book post today made me think water coaster... possibly as a part of a water park expansion.

Zoom in and look at the details.  When something has a "Life Belt" it really makes you wonder.
Someone put much thought into that design all made with parts from Home Depot.

The more I zoom the more there is to like.

I'm curious, but not very anxious at this point.  I'm more anxious for Morey's to finally build the Wildwoodie. It's been almost as long of a wait has Flying Turns.  Six years since the announcement and still no vertical construction.

Today's hint pointed to impulse coaster. Seems too far fetched and not overly exciting to me. But it does fit the bill in terms of something you wouldn't expect knoebels to have. One of the comments was RMC impulse woodie... now that's something I'd like to explore. Side note: Dorney has an impulse.

Maybe they are going one step further, and thinking "shuttle" and they're getting an Anton Shuttle??? One can dream.

Knoebels squashed the impulse possibility on facebook.

^ Hahahaha. I love the rocket slide.. one of the perks of having a little one with you at knoebels.

You need little ones for the rocket slide?
Title: Re: knoebels 2015 project
Post by: AV Matt on February 13, 2014, 03:41:26 PM
No little ones required to ride the rocket slide. my group of "adults" rides it every PPP.

OK ok. It's an excuse to ride the rocket slide and not look like you guys riding it. Bunch of grown ass men sliding one after the other. ;)

I ride the slide more than once every time I visit. I love that thing. There's no shame in riding it alone. Its Knoebels, no one passes judgement.

This topic on coaster buzz is one big 'you're so stupid for thinking that!, no you are the one who is stupid... no you are.... why are you so dumb? hahahaa.'

Everything on Coasterbuzz is like that.

It's really bad lately. Reminds me of online bullying commercials. But with coaster nerds and not children.

That thread on buzz is that way because of the presence of billb and his 'if SFHADV was getting a hotel it would have happened years ago' Cbuzz meme, and the mere presence of Chuck Nugester.

I have no idea who that is, but timber rider has to be screwing with people, getting them all worked up. But the responses to him make me ill to read sometimes. It's just too crazy. As soon as the Gandulph looking dude responds to me, I bail cuz it's not worth the argument that he will write a book about. Just not for me. But I still check in.

Looks like a launched euro fighter. No news on specs or park location.

Edit: I'm getting from TPR it's likely a Zierer like wicked at lagoon.

They must get sick of that. Dopes tease them about FT's all the time on facebook. When people complain about how expensive knoebels is getting it makes me sick.
