It's baaaaack! (As long as this isn't an April Fools joke - I don't think it is!)

After a 12? 13? year break it looks like Great Adventure has decided to bring back the Holiday in the Park event for 2015.

No details are available besides the photo and the video below.

More information has been released from The Asbury Park Press:

Six Flags Great Adventure is really shaking things up for its 41st season, which kicks off April 3.

In addition to the 5 amazing announcements made public last week — including a change to Batman: The Ride — the Jackson theme park is adding something magical to the mix this year.

Great Adventure is extending its 2015 season with "Holiday in the Park."

According to a release, the holiday spectacular will include millions of glittering lights, dazzling holiday entertainment, delicious seasonal treats, Santa's village, and animals as the summer destination transforms into a winter wonderland.

Snowflakes will fall throughout the park to set the mood for the extended season.

Many of the most popular rides will be up and running, including the SkyScreamer, Carousel, Big Wheel, Parachutes and Tea Cups.

The Adventure Seaport area will be open for children to enjoy.

There will be a massive illuminated tree.

Crazy coasters such as Nitro, Batman: The Ride, The Green Lantern, Superman: The Ultimate Flight, The Dark Knight and Skull Mountain will be open for guests, weather permitting.

Holiday in the Park will debut Nov. 21 and run weekends and select days through Jan. 3, 2016.

"Holiday in the Park will be a winter spectacular on every family's must-do list and is included with every season pass and membership," said Six Flags Great Adventure President John Fitzgerald. "We have invested years of research into making this the most incredible and immersive seasonal experience it can be, combining holiday traditions with thrills that are uniquely Six Flags."

Santa will be in his workshop for photos.

The park will undergo a massive makeover as it transforms from a spot for summer thrills to a piece of the North Pole.

The release states that six areas of the parks will be overhauled to "showcase the world's best holiday traditions ... and bring the warmth of the season to guests in an entirely new way."

The park will be decked out with dazzling holiday lights.

Highlights of Holiday in the Park include light shows, illuminated trees, and photo opportunities with Santa in his workshop.

The park will also feature the smell of fresh pine and crisp peppermint surrounding festive street vendors offering holiday-themed treats.

Entertainment includes a tree-lighting spectacular, grand stage production, live carolers and a nightly finale.

They won't be able to run RTB while Nitro is on the lift hill.
I'll definitely be skipping this one.

Like the state is going to sign off on this, lol...
LOL never thought of that!  I can hardly ride this thing forwards anymore so I'm not sure how I feel about backwards.  Getting old sucks sometimes.

Batman will be closed for CoasterCon which is happening from June 21st to the 26th. So it'll be about 2 weeks.

Oh. You are probably right. The experience ends at SFOG on May 10th, so it will probably head on up.

According to SFGA's Facebook it looks like Georgia isn't the only park to be getting into the Batman Backwards fun! Our BATMAN: The Ride will be running backwards from July 4th to September 7th!

Excellent news. Already much more exciting than the new "coaster". I do wonder how much downtime there will be in the middle of summer to turn the trains around, though?

If at first you don't succeed try, try, again.

Action Park to revive infamous loop-the-loop waterslide
