TR Beech Bend 6/23/07
« on: June 28, 2007, 10:06:20 AM »
The last day of the Con was at Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY.  Since we were staying at a friends house in Indianapolis that night, we just made a brief visit and passed on the meal and night ERT on the coasters.  Beech Bend really isn't a park you can spend much time at.  It has the feel of a temporary carnival and an extreme lack of shade.  We had been to this park twice before so the only ride we needed to go on was Wild Mouse which was closed on our last visit.  It turns out that was the only ride we went on since the weather was hot and miserable and the park was crowded.  It's a shame we didn't get on the Rumbler, but we couldn't bear to stand in line in the hot sun and we're not fans of GCI coasters anyway.  Since we rode it last year, it wasn't that big of a deal to miss it.  Getting on the Wild Mouse was a chore in itself with the line jumping and the ops sending out cars with one person when they can hold 4.  They made no effort at all to fill the cars.  After that, we had enough and headed out.
