The Off-Season Tour Trip Report
« on: March 25, 2008, 10:22:35 AM »

Ok. Incase you just want park pictures...

For the behind-the-scenes fans

Bubba, sound familar?

When I said I like coasters in a box, I was being facetious.

All kidding aside, they will make it look like Gotham City.

They added Mr. Freeze's observatory

a chemical factory... Dainan get out of my shot.

a chemical factory... Dainan get of out my shot!

and Batman.

Here are Brian, Nick, Ken and Tom (left to right).

Here are more familar people. I didn't ask anybody if they minded being identified in the pictures. If you're in any of the pictures, feel free to identify yourself.

This extended portion of the building will be the queue

The bigger box will contain these

Give me two points for predicting a wild mouse. One point for the coaster (in '02) and another since it took only three tries to get the location right (in '05.)

Kisses are preferred.

On to the rest of the park...

Nice Dan  I liked the Deer.
this is why I took the Turnpike its 8 miles longer but 15 minutes faster.
And less chance of hitting one of these  ;)

THe building looks really tall in person. The first thing I asked Jen was   they are going to put something on the sides of the building
yes it will be themed / dressed up

Dainan will be at the controls at Batman this season.

Oh noes!

Somebody has taken off their shoe!!

Somebody will be paid to stand around and do nothing.

Oh no, commentary! The white building in the background will be a new Cold Stone Creamery location. Too bad I won't be hungry. Doh!

Medusa.  ::)

It's still Express. I'll go to Atlantic City for the full experience.

We don't know the fate of Old Country past '08.

With all of these rides being removed from the park in recent years, it got me thinking about my favorite remaining rides at the park. What are your favorite rides at the park?

My personal top 10:

Rolling Thunder*
El Toro
GASM
Kingda Ka
Nitro
Houdini
Autobahn
Batman
Musik Express
Flying Wave

*The sentimental favorite

LoL

Tom, my parents took the back way to the park and I picked up the habit. Deer usually graze on the side of the road and don't budge while I'm driving home.

The fence around the carousel looked repainted. Do they normally run this with horses missing?

Medusa, what?

Runaway Game Stand

I couldn't find any visable change to the Iwerks Movie Palace besides the removal of the Sponge Bob sign.

ErUption has tested.

(10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 1)

Sexy Arrow! Thankfully, the coaster collection offers variety.

Welcome to the jungle

Dan, those disappeared midway through 2007.  My hopes were that it was for a rehab.  Not seeing them back sorta worries me now.  Like maybe they were in such bad shape that it wasn't safe?  I don't know but this antique seriously needs some TLC before it completely implodes.

Johnny Rockets Express

Everybody else was gathered here but some of us were distracted by the coasters.

Who did this?

^Silly Bull

These things happen in the off season and are usually repaired within hours of park opening.

Off to the Frontier...

If I was remaining in the area, I would love to work at RT or TDK, Coastermom. Where I'm moving it might be possible to work at Voodoo or Talon!

For Diana

The only spin I like in my amusement parks is on a flat ride. Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of the pictures.

^ I would not have taken credit for that.

As Wade once said, this is for the sidewalk enthusiasts:
