Clementon Park 5-30-08 Update
« on: May 31, 2008, 02:03:55 PM »
A few pics from my 25 minute visit on Friday

I was really impressed with the back Hill picnic area Looks very nice its all blacktopped and Nice Landscape beds and shrubs and lots of new SOD/grass. gone is the dusty stone/dirt/gravel
THe season pass is worth it just for the free admission coupons
some more info from the GM http://gadvupdates.com/forums/index.php?topic=2335.msg24367#msg24367

This park gets a lot of local schools and company picnics so go late to ride the coaster or call ahead.
I been going to the park since 1969 and the park is going in the right direction and I'm excited about the changes minus the trims.
I think the new management is doing pretty good for its first season and its first few weeks minus the coaster. They did do many many changes so far and look for many more in the next few years 15-20 million $ worth  ;) I suggested to the GM to replace the jack Rabbit location with another coaster.

I didn't pay to park i just told the Kid i was getting my pass \/

TRIMS  >:( - these are the only trims (ONE THE FIRST DROP) I noticed on the coaster   \/
with these 4 trims they can now call it a Dive coaster  :) we almost but it should still run good

New Water Structure Pics and Location of the old Arcade and Falling Star and Carousel Building is new Arcade \/

Bumping the thread since the pics are back up

Nice job Tom :)  The place looks great!  I'm still a tad bummed at the location of the new arcade.  A carousel belongs in a carousel building!  But its still awesome to see some TLC occurring at this little park.

Yes I was walking around in circles trying to find it
but it

Near the coaster where they normally have the little beer garden in the building under the old dance hall.
I meant to take a picture of the location

so on the left after the food building and before the coaster bathrooms

Tom, did we kill your bandwidth?

Note: I had my pics posted on my site and my site went down so i reposted on imagechack

I found out a Data Center in Texas had a small fire which blow up a transformer and 9000 servers went down.
The hosting service that I use also uses theplanet  for services.
www.themeparkreview.com also is out I got an email from them with the same problem.
edit: TPR is back up but my sites are still down

this is the first time in 8 years I had an outage  or any problems at all
all should be up today

Are they already going back to their old ways??

I can't get over how great the park looks. That's a huge improvement over what it looked like 3 years ago when I used to work there. Boy do I miss that place. I plan to make a visit over there soon. I'm just waiting for my old manager to let me know when J2, err, HellCat opens up. I shall post a Photo TR afterwards.

No on Monday we opened the park with 35 people in groups and another 10 from front gate. There were no groups for today and front gate is not strong on week days until schools are out.
