Adventure Park, SFA & HP
« on: December 17, 2008, 02:33:22 PM »
Emily, Kevin, Matt and I moved on from Dutch Wonderland to visit a Family Entertainment Center in Maryland.
AdventureParkUSA.com debuted a much traveled Schwarzkopf Wildcat in the 2007 season and today was an ACE event.

The Wildcat started life as Die Wildkatze at Busch Gardens in 1976.
It moved onto Rye, Steel Pier and Williams Grove before moving to the New Market, Maryland park.

Here are Kevin and Emily ready to ride the Camero.

Matt and I get ready for our ride.

Each car has it's own 1960's muscle car theme. According to RCDB, there is the Yenko Camaro, SS Camaro, 340 Cuda, 1960's Police Cruiser, Mustang and another unidentified car.

The park is a nice-sized FEC with mini golf, go carts and an indoor game area.

We moved on to Largo.

Kevin and Emily waited in line to processed their passes.

Look who we bumped into.

Dainan Rafferty

and Jackie (from Log Flume/GASM fame) and Walter (of SM and Batman fame)

I always say, if you've worked in Rides for 3 or more years and you still have Re-Hire Status, you're doing it wrong!

Pirate's Flight's lame cousin

We went over to Ghotham Fields

to ride Superman

when we were cut in line

and when you have a station like this

and SFA ride ops, it's Security worthy.

Jackie and Walter called Security, who in turn did nothing. The line cutters got their ride.

The rest of us went to ride. Then Dainan sat down and broke the ride.

Within an hour of arriving, Kevin and Emily had their processed passes.

And we rode Skull Mountain

Kevin then washed his mouth out with soap!

The ride is really fun. It no longer goes backwards and it cuts down on the breakdowns.

We all were a little wet

We rode Roar which was running in fine fashion.

The same can't be said for SFA ride employees.

We rode Wild One a few times as well.

Both woodies must have received allot of TLC from my last visit in 2005.  :-*

We missed the opportunity to ride two other coasters in my top 10 that day (Batwing and Joker's Jinx,) but it was a fun day.

Next day, we got Hersheypark happy.

Here's Lightning Racer...

...and Wildcat

We started our day at Chocolate World

Okay, onto some rides...

Err, some park pics first

The old Sky Ride station

Milton Hershey, Comet and Great Bear in the far background

Comet

Trailblazer, Monorail, Storm Runner, Flying Falcon and Kissing Tower

I don't remember what we rode that day, but you know we rode

and

and finally

Lightning Racer was fun.
Wildcat was meh at best.
And I probably lost on the short shoot'em up dark ride.

Thanks for reading.

Prepare to weather the storm!
