I'm assuming you have a season pass voucher?  If you do then just use that as your gate ticket and then take it with you to the processing center. If you don't then buy it online before you go or buy it at the gate. Not entirely sure what you meant though. As for Medusa, I'd predict the same name as sfne imo.

Walking all over the park learning how to do our audits. After I get off, I plan to have a change of clothes in the car. I'll be keeping an eye on the boards via BlackBerry to see if I can say hi to anyone.

To all my fans, I  have just found out I have softball practice. Meaning I will be at the park a little later then I thought.  Please, don't let this ruin your day as I will be there as soon as I can.

My son and I will be coming up from Delaware for the weekend.  Sounds like weather should be a go!

Where's a decent place to stay close to the park?  Last year we stayed over in Thom's River and that seemed SO far away.

Hope all will be up and running for a great day!

The only thing that sucks about coming from another state is finding a hotel to stay at. I would suggest either Freehold gardens about 20 minutes away, or the new hotel right off of Exit 5 on 195.

I would sleep in my car to come for a weekend at GA!

(But it stinks that Medusa...oh I mean Bizzaro - won't be open till later.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Hamilton, NJ (The one at Exit 5 off of 195) is probably the best. Well, not sure about pricewise but it's a nice new hotel (flatscreen TV's in every room!) and there is more food across the street from it then you can ever imagine.

And more coming a lil south on 130. Gah...more traffic is going to be going through my neighborhood now.

I've visited people in hotels on Rt. 206  (Exit 7 NJT) and Rt. 541 (Exit 5 NJT) and both were really nice. The Days Inn on 206 had a flat screen and was located near Rt. 130 where there are plenty of places to eat. There is a Ramada and Best Western off of Exit 7 as well. The Hampton Inn at Exit 5 was also nice, and is located near other hotels and places to eat, including Cracker Barrel! Exit 7 is about a 1/2 hour away from the park and Exit 7 is about 15 minutes away.

Welcome to Outpost!  And here is a perfect example of why that on site hotel project needs to move forward :D.

Edit: I also did want to point out that while the weather looks decent (probably the best it's looked in years for opening day) but there are high winds in the forecast.  So keep in mind that Skyride, parachutes and of course, Kingda Ka may be down :(.  All indications are pointing to every ride being ready for opening day but they can't do anything about the wind.

I was watching that wind forcast too.  Thats one reason why we're staying over for Sunday - temps are forecasted warmer and winds less.

Counting down the hours...

It always freaking rains on opening day! When is it gonna be sunny and gorgeous?

Seems like that might be the case again.

Well I just got back from my opening day visit.

-Lets say that much wind does not help coasters at all. Even the indoor type.  ;)
-The carousel and big wheel look great!
-El Toro opened with one train running around 1:00PM.
-Workers were pleasant and very friendly
-Seeing Mr Six walking around the park is just a bit creepy.  But he does draw the crowd!

Now if they could only work on that weather control machine.
