My New Best Friend.

So I got an awesome surprise phone call last night from Melissa... "Babe, you always wanted a Corgi, right?" Me "Yeah, why?" "I just bought you a 4 week old puppy Corgi" OMG!!!! Best girlfriend/fiance ever!!!!

So I have never had to raise an animal before. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I got a few books on how to take care of Corgi's so hopefully they help. Right now he's in New Jersey with Melissa until we find a way to get his cute little face down here. His name is Kumba (I know, coaster nerd, but it really fits) and he's adorable. Melissa says he's the nicest dog in the world and she can't wait for me to meet him. If anyone has any advice on what to do/what not to do, please let me know because I'm a rookie at this stuff.

Don't let him run out in traffic! I just had a retriever run out towards me while a car was coming. It was almost lights out for the pup!

Congrats! Keep him away from wood trim, blinds and screen doors.

Feed it and water it,  that might help.  I know a person for a small fee can deliver such animals. ;)

So I found out that Melissa is going to bring him down here on Saturday... it seems so far away, but I guess I'll manage. Here's some more pictures she took of him yesterday.
