Clementon's Jack Rabbit was my first wooden coaster but RT was the big wooden coaster located at the big park. The anticipation of waiting to ride until I was tall enough make it a big deal in my heart.

I don't appreciate the shot. I think it sucks, and I think you probably would too if you didn't ride it for the first time in the 80's.

I assure you it's not just me that thinks it sucks either. CoasterGrotto.com is a site where you can rate all the coasters you have ever been on and if you were to search for the top 10 WORST wooden coasters (decided by hundreds of voters)RT is the #8 worst barely out of the #6 spot.

Whoa whoa whoa lets take a step back and breathe. Where did he attack you? Im failing to see it. I don't want to see this break out into a flame war for nothing. I am pretty positive that Dan was not attacking you in any way. Dan has always had a fond love for Rolling Thunder for as long as I have been on the forums so atleast 5 years now, and probably more.

I agree with Viper but the worst was the Hurricane when it was at the pavillion in Myrtle Beach ..UGH that was painful so is Mean Streak in Cedar Point ..another painful ride .

My response was not intended to be rude. Only to stand up for myself and my right to an oppinion without being slamed. Also to show I am not the only one who feels this way. RT is rated near the bottom of all wood coasters on many polls.. Coaster Grotto, Coaster Fanatics, Mitch Hawkers internet poll, and so on.

Now look I don't want this to go any farther.. I get what he's saying, I get that he likes RT. We all like coasters that are rated poorly... For example I really like a cloned vekoma boomerang at my home park cuz it was my first inverted coaster. There is nothing wrong with that. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the puberty thing, but stuff like that happens. I've said stuff meant as a joke that ppl took harshly before. It happens. I'm over it.

My hope is that I get to ride RT at some point again and it forces me to retract my previous comments.

Don't be surprised if your opinions greatly change after you've ridden another 300 or so coasters. But regardless, like what you like.

LOL Wade ... I knew someone had to ride it and boy I still cring when I even go past the lot that was the pavillion . That was one painful ride .

I think it was 5 or 6 years ago since I was on it but I actually thought about first aid a requsting a trip to the hospital for the first and only time in my life during a park trip. I'm sure the plastic and unpadded g trains didn't help but holy crap there were literally potholes in the track!

300 more! I wish. I have a hard enough time dragging my fam on 10 new ones/year... I'll be 60. I need some cross country trips or something.

And I do realize boomerangs suck... its sentamental value that makes me like it. I've been on 2 other and hate them like they stole my lunch.
