I guess that makes sense. It's hard to place another 300 footer in all of N.A. But then again a 300' at KD was a little surprising. I could see magic Mountain maybe. They have an inferior hyper curently that is not a B&M. Plus they are coaster crazy. It kind of follows the mold of CP building MF even though they had Magnum. Other than that there aren't alot of fits. Likely in China.

China has many height restrictions due to earthquakes.

China already has two 200' dive machines. Whats another 100 feet?? lol

So maybe Japan is more viable.

Japan has more earthquakes than anyone (several per day if I recall).

I wouldn't be surprised if SFoT or SFMM got something like this some day. I could even see one going to Great Adventure if they ever figure out how to manage what they currently have without being in danger of bankruptcy.

Great Adventure has a 200+ B&M Already plus a 400+ coaster.

What about like Islands of adventure? They are due soon for a new coaster.

I only said Japan cuz they already have a 300+ footer.
Also Hershey would be a good fit for one but I think they have a heighbour problem or at least a height restriction don't they. I'm sure ons of you will fill in the blanks on that situation.

I've never been so I don't know the situation but you'd think a new one is due and cost wouldn't be the biggest concern.

I think IoA will be doing just fine with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

^Yeah IOA will be just fine with Potter.I wouldn't be suprised if opening day (not including a soft opening if they do one) they reach Capacity.IOA will be crazy crowded for awhile with the addition of Wizarding World of Harry Potter,so they don't have to worry about adding a new coaster,Forbidden Journey will count as the new coaster..

I believe that both Mr. Kinzel of Cedar Fair and Mr. Story of Six Flags have proven beyond cavil that building a coaster does not financial success guarantee.  The fact it has been 10 years since the last major coaster at IOA does not necessarily mean another will be built any time soon.

True, definatly true. I'm just saying that may make them more likely than others to be due for one.

That would be prettty cool if we got a dive machine.  Mhm it would look good in GASM's place

I think it was Rj who said it,
"a dive machine is a 20 million dollar band-aid that isn't guaranteed to draw in money in the later future,"
or something along those lines.

YA that is true but i don't like GASM and a dive machine would go well next to Superman. The Dive machine could be Mr. Freeze. Or we could get a Mr. Freeze like the one in St Luis.

*we* are currently owned by a company in bankruptcy.  The chances of getting a dive machine in the near future are about the same as the chances of the park lowering admission to $6.95 and having free parking.  It could happen, but is very, very, very unlikely.

Two Dive Coasters in the U.S. is plenty IMO. I would much, much, MUCH rather see a Mr. Freeze than a Griffon come to Jersey.

I feel like Mr Freeze with these temps.

Yes IOA won't have any new "big" attractions for at
least 4-5 years with the 100-300 million (or whatever the cost is) they are spending on Harry Pot

And with a New COaster at Universal just 6 months ago

Just stay go in Jan-Feb or March  its not to crowed at all sometimes walk ons
last early March THe Hulk was a walk on many time when i was there.

best beat get a Annual pass if you plan on going more then once
when you renew they give you a great price  I have the middle tier pass and paid I think $119

also if you stay onsite you can use your room keycard as a flashpass
Yo

Never been on mr. freeze, or chiller. Are they not similar?

My bad about IOA I didn't realize that they are literally connected to universal studios. I guess in a way that would make them not over due for a coaster.

Never been on a dive coaster. Not that excitted too either.
