Knoebel's Flying turns
« on: October 12, 2009, 12:32:48 PM »
A week ago I asked a friend about when the Knoebel's Flying Turns opens. He said they're done with the construction, but they're fine-tuning the rider weight so that it can safely complete a full circuit.

Is this true, or is it already open?

I'm sure theres another topic around here somewhere that explains it all.

They're looking for a train that will work. Until then, it won't open.

No. They have gone through many alterations of the prototype and are waiting for the first "official train to arrive (in about two weeks). If all goes well with testing the new train, they will order two more and be ready for next Spring.

...or not.

This has taken a very long time...it is a very difficult project.  It will be wonderful and almost miraculous if and when it does open!
