SFNE Fright Fest Fire

Fake cobwebs draped over an external light fixture was the cause of a fire that prompted the evacuation of the Midnight Manor haunted house attraction at Six Flags New England Saturday night.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which caused some $5,000 in damage to the structure’s exterior and roof, Fire Department Lt. B.J. Calvi said.

A number of people, Calvi did not know how many, were evacuated from the burning structure. The fire was reported about 8 p.m. and firefighters remained on the scene for over an hour....

Good thing there was a very close by fire department to respond!

Someone needs to forward this article to Great Adventure.

Glad nobody was injured in this.
