A cool clip from the Discovery Channel of the construction on Leviathan.

Also, more construction photos on the park's facebook page.

Looks like there might be an event at Wonderland this year. Might be a good time for a trip if scheduales are clear. No date yet, and I wouldn't hold my breath on this even happening. But here is the link.

NOW it actually looks massive in pictures! Wow! Dear Six Flags: Steal Cedar Fair's construction schedule.

I love how 183' from this angle looks 20' higher than 306'. ;)

In case some of you don't know park layout, you have to walk under that camelback to get to the front gate. Very cool.

Yeah, the perspective is kinda tricky. The placement of the ride is great. It's too bad they didn't save the Behemoth name for this ride--much more fitting in hindsight.

This construction scheduale should do great wonders to dispell the myth of Canadian winters.

Matt... I agree with that behemoth name thing. I still think that 2 foot trench might provide a surprise that makes Leviathan more fitting. Not sure what though. Im okay with it as long as Ziz is an awesome flying coaster, and not a 400' B&M.

This ride would be MUCH more interesting if they had done something special with it like a heartline roll or even a simple vertical loop (and only having lap bars of course).

Can Mega coaster trains do inversions? A 200" loop right after the 300" drop...

Why not? Anton did it safely with a simpler restraint 30 years ago!

im just worriedabout how they will protect riders on the train from the punk kids that think it would be funny to throw a quarter at the track as the train passes by the first drop trench and the hammerhead turnaround. im pretty sure getting hit by a quarter at 92mph will do some damage.

Especially when you consider the workers live in igloo`s. ;)

I think there will be sufficent work done to prevent this problem at the bottom of the first drop.

I heard rumors that a possible trip was occuring July 4 weekend. July 4th is a wednesday... What weekend would the holiday fall on. Reason I ask is July 1 is the sunday before the forth, and I would NOT recommend attending on that day.

There is awesome fireworks on July 1st. But I don't think it's worth the crowds. Following weekend should be fine.... as fine as a weekend in the middle of summer could be ;)
