Kingda Ka Closed for the Season?

A few days before Irene rolled through the area Ka experienced some issues that caused it to close.

Reports are now coming out from this past weekend that guests are being told Ka will be closed for the rest of the season.

We have a feeling that that information is true.

I was at the park a couple days ago. We asked a park employee and he said it was closed for the rest of the season.

What was it exactly that closed it in the first place?

I heard the cable that carries you had something wrong with it. But I could be completely wrong.

Last time the motor that launched the train went Boom. Maybe this happened again but it was worse and they have to replace everything for it.

At this point it's just a issue of getting the custom needed parts in enough time to make repairs.  With what is left of the season, this most likely isn't feasible.
