I have no plans to go to HWN this year but looks like it will be PTC's again for 2012.

"The new Timberliner trains for The Voyage will not be delivered
to us in time for pre-opening testing this spring. Unfortunately,
that means we will have to wait until the fall for testing. It is
our intent to fully test the new trains and have them on the track
 for the 2013 season."

Not that we haven't heard that before.

Old news and it makes me happy. With the re-tracking, The Voyage should be back to 2006 form, minus the changes of course.

Oh and I will be there this year!

We would be more surprised if you weren't at HWN.

After riding the Wooden Warrior (Don't worry about that front row, its fine)...The Voyage + Timberliner sounds like a frightening combination.

I am curious to what changes were made to the elements they retracked. Did they take out that reversed banked bunny hop right before the first 90 degree bank?

Ken, I didn't go one year, because I was pissed at the park for the way they treated people the year before, but they got the message (a lot of people were upset) and have backed off on the gestapo treatment.

Yes, Shoe. The section of track between the 180 degree diving turnaround and the first 90 degree bank has been completely reworked into a long bunny hill.

Ken I think you might be worrying about the lap bar too much. There is a difference between how the staff operates at holiday world compared to quassy.

It's been mentioned before but lets get a re-vote.

Timberliners, or flying turns?

What me worry?  Never.

I'm going to have to vote for Flying Turns.

Have you seen pictures of the reworked section?

Interesting that they specified in the comments section that the timberliners would begin testing again this spring.

That was the intent, but a few weeks ago they announced the new trains wouldn't arrive in time and they'd have to wait until after daily operation ceases in the fall.

Holiday World posted a few pictures and a short video clip that includes the retracked section in the spaghetti bowl.

Oh wow just realized today is the day. Have a great time everyone. Deffinatly watch out for fang. Someone eat a pulled pork sandwich for me.

Do you think next year it will fall on May 31st, and June 1st? Or will it get pushed back to June 7, and 8? Just so I can book my time off ASAP.

The 2013 dates should be announced any day now if they haven't been already.
