I'm trying to get caught up on these, bare with me.

A different beast awaits from the parking lot.

Yay!  Finally!  It's been about 3.5 years since my last visit.

Love the theming, wish the ride time was way longer.

I LOVE this sculpture.

100_2815 by Edward Beavers, on Flickr

I think its great how the new ride towers above every thing else in the park on the hillside.

Still the best Arrow ever (Even better than my beloved X), I just wish it were longer.

And it would be more comfortable with better rolling stock.

Did I say I love this sculpture?

It really fits the theme up on the mountain.  At the top of the lift, you can see EVERYTHING.

100_2867 by Edward Beavers, on Flickr

Ultra smooth inversions, with a great Zero G Roll, as long as you're on the outside.

100_2877 by Edward Beavers, on Flickr

Great theming, terribly janky ride.  Still, popular with the peeps.

Still really LOVE this ride.

IMG_1917 by Edward Beavers, on Flickr

The plaza was really well done.

Looking over towards Wild Eagle from Adventure Mountain.

IMG_1924 by Edward Beavers, on Flickr

Thunderhead really does shine.  Especially after the rain.

Mmmm...Cinnamon Bread.

And the rest of the pix are Here

I think I need to finally make it a point to get down to Dollywood next summer. I feel like I should turn in my "enthusiast card" for having been on 400+ rides, but never to Dollywood. Is there enough stuff to do in the area to turn it into a relaxing 4-5 trip where 2-3 of the days are spent at the park?

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

Yes, Rob. It's like going to the Wisconsin Dells. There are a ton of touristy things to do, from watersides and alpine slides to go-karts and mini-golf, plus cheesy attractions like the the Jurassic Park boat ride rip-off and the Earthquake ride rip-off, as well as the awesome haunted house, aquarium, Zorbing, buffets everywhere, shopping galore, the Titanic museum, Dukes of Hazard museum, cabins up in the mountains, dinner shows... Not sure about clubbing, but you can get wasted at the Hard Rock Cafe at least.
