7-26-2012 - A few observations
« on: July 27, 2012, 05:45:30 PM »
Bubba and I went to the park yesterday for a few be.... I mean coaster rides.  The park was rather empty as I suppose everyone was at the water park.  We did manage a ride on Nitro, Skull and El Toro between many beverages and I think the most we waited was maybe 10 minutes for the very back seat of Toro.  Every single ride seemed to be running (except for the unfortunate issue over at Ka) and operations were good from what we could tell.

Bumper Cars are coming along well.  Although, it still drives me crazy seeing the parts for a brand new attraction laying uncovered on the ground.  Yes, brand new bumper cars are already getting sun fade.  Tarps anyone?  Uggh.  Air Jumbo was not only reassembled but running and finally, we wanted to point out that the Cyber Cafe is, well, barely cyberized.  There was 1 remaining PC running :(.

Here are a few pics of the bumer car progress...

Unfortunately, Toro trains received a new KIA skin :(.  There were also KIA's parked throughout the park.

And finally, one of the few Gem's left at the park is also at this point, simply falling apart.  The Charactor Cafe needs some serious help.

Again, positive news on operations.  Both food and rides were running very well.  But there are quite a few issues that need attention soon before we see more go the way of the teepee.

I wonder how much they charge to wrap El Toro?
I was so happy to not see it wrapped last time I was there.
Looks like Six Flags Kia Adventure these days.

Don't worry about those faded bumper cars.
They will for sure will be wrapped in Kia Soul ads.

Last Thursday I could have used a couple be...rides myself. Believe it or not, the Kia ads don't bother me...much. I don't like seeing rides wrapped, but at least it's not as ugly as the Stride wrapping last year. That was disgusting.
