2013 Passes on Sale!
« on: August 30, 2012, 08:28:05 AM »
2013 passes are on sale as well today!

Quote
Six Flags Great Adventure announced today that 2013 Season Passes are now on sale at the lowest prices of the year and provide unlimited visits for the rest of the 2012 season (including Fright Fest) and all of the 2013 season. For a limited time, with the purchase of a Season Pass four-pack, guests will receive a free upgrade to “premium status” which includes free Season Passes to Hurricane Harbor, free tickets for friends and more! In addition, guests receive one free Season Parking Pass when purchasing four or more. Offer expires October 28, 2012.

There were rumors of the tiers of passes changing to have "Great Adventure" only passes and "all Six Flags Parks" passes. We will check and see if that actually happened with these passes or not!

Yay they upgraded to the Cedar Fair plan. Still will be a worthwhile investment for me with SFA, SFNE and Gadv on the plate. Please offer parking with it, too (DOUBT IT).

Looks like there is an option for a gold pass in 2013, but I'm not sure if it's available at all parks.  I don't see it mentioned for GA, but it is on SFNE's website.

Looking at the website they are not doing the same structure as CF.

I like digging around for information.

Passes sold at SFGA
From SFGadv website: For a limited time, purchase a Season Pass and get a free upgrade to a Premium Pass which includes free Hurricane Harbor.

Here are the perks:
- Unlimited admission to Six Flags Great Adventure
- Admission to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor New Jersey
- Free park admission to all other Six Flags Theme Parks
- Special days when you can bring a friend for free
- Free admission for the rest of 2012 including Fright Fest
- Exclusive ride time events
- Significant discounts on park tickets for friends
- Coupon book full of in-park discounts
- Available with 12 Easy Payments

SFNE Passes
It seems like Gadv is only offering premium, but SFNE and SFA are offering a regular and a gold. The gold offer gets everything listed below.

- Unlimited admission to Six Flags New England
- NEW! Free parking on every pass. Now every Gold Pass you buy has free parking.
- NEW! Free parking on every Gold Pass valid at every Six Flags Theme Park
- Free park admission to all other Six Flags Theme Parks
- Special days when you can bring a friend for free
- NEW! Extra Bring-A-Friend Free Ticket on select days, available in 2013
- NEW! VIP early entry to the theme park before other guests beginning in 2013
- NEW! VIP early entry to the water park before other guests beginning in 2013
- Free admission for the rest of 2012 including Fright Fest
- Exclusive ride time events
- Significant discounts on park tickets for friends
- Coupon book full of in-park discounts
- 12 Easy Payments

Actual breakout.

Regarding parking if the pass is purchased at SFGadv it is ONLY valid at SFGadv according to the website.

http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/tickets/index.aspx

Yet if you purchase your pass at SFNE or SFA and get gold it is valid at EVERY park.

It seems like if you don't want to pay for parking at every park go to SFNE or SFA and buy a gold pass.

Any reason that SFNE would offer the Gold pass but not SFGA? Seems kind of strange

So I am a little confused after visiting the SFGADV web page I clicked the if you are a 2012 season pass holder link . It says if you are a 2012 pass holder then you will get the up graded GOLD pass with your purchase before the end of Oct . Now if I am reading this right it is only $59.99 if you are already a season pass holder ? Also is the premium pass the gold pass ? it says premium on one page and gold on the other ? IF this is the deal for 59.99 I am going to buy them !! I use it often enough for it to be worth it and I used it at SFNE this year as well !!

It's the renewal price for current season pass holders. SFGadv is not offering the gold, so it is probably just a typo.

Seems really strange that Great Adventure isn't offering Gold.  I checked every other SF park and they all have the Gold option.  However, like coastermom said, if you click the "if you are a 2012 pass holder" link on the GA page, it does mention the Gold pass.  Very confusing!

We prefer to buy our passes at GA since it's most convenient, but if they're going to be the only park not offering Gold, we're going to be forced to go out of our way to buy elsewhere.

Looks like I'm getting my pass at Six Flags America this year. First time in 15 years I won't have a pass from Great Adventure...

I got mine at SFA this year, only used it once, won't be using it again. Saving my money next year too.

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

Parking is valid at all parks, no matter where purchased now.

So the main difference is the GOLD upgrade gets parking added on every pass in a 4+ pack.
GADV you still only get 1 parking pass for the 4+ pack.

Perhaps for the time being, the options are only different at great adventure because they are givin away hurricane harbor?  Aren't we the only extra charge water park in the chain?

SFOT and SFMM both have separate gate Hurricane Harbor parks, and White Water in Atlanta is also separate gate/charge from theme park.
