Now I regret not getting my arse to the ACE Event after ROTB.

Same here Ken.  I heard on the news last night that the entire boardwalk, piers and business area is a total loss and unable to be saved.  So even whats left standing will likely be no more.  I'm sure they will rebuild but it's like a whole new generation is starting from scratch :(.

I think Steel Pier was built to withstand hurricanes(using concrete pilings I think);couldn't Seaside do the same thing?I'd be willing to wait till 2014(or longer) if it meant preventing another disaster...
