Has anyone ever gotten a rollback on Kingda ka? I never have, so tell me what it's like.

Well from my 2 experience last night, the initial stopping at the top of the tower is the best part. The return trip didn't really do anything for me. Then again, it was dark out so I really could not see. But when you hit the top and the lights just slow down and eventually stop, you are like YEAH!

I almost had one. It stalled like it was going to roll back, and it then ended up inching over (grrr).

I almost had one rollback this year. It just creeped over. It felt cool becouse you can feel the back of the train tugging back. Im going to get one rollback by the end of the season!

88 rides and still no rollback.
On the KK commercial shoot there was one at the end of the day but I wasn't on that trrain

that's what I do when I ride KK I start chanting rollback rollback.

It was crazy because I was with a first time rider and I was telling him how its was rolling back all day. And he was like wow that would be scary. And I was like how awesome would that be if you got a rollback your first time? And look what happened. And then I proceeded to say how awesome it would be to get a second one in a row and yeah it happened. Then people got off the train and new people got on and jinxed it.

Wow, three launches in a row, thats sick. Do they have to perform test runs after a rollback before riders are launched again?

Nope. They just have to roll you back into the station completely, unlock a restraint, and then verify that the train is locked and all clear. I actually got on 5 times in a row last night from 8:20 until closing.

The only rollbacks I have ever gotten on launched coasters were:

* Volcano: The Blast Coaster, and I would be in the very back row at the time. Sigh.

* And, of all things, Italian Job at Kings Island. It was, shall we say, uneventful.

I have one but I'll be sure to remember it.

It was on media day, front car, second row behind two guys from Action News. Since we were in the front, we actually got to see it creep over and hang while looking straight down before it sucked us back like a vacuum

The number of swear words they had come out was simply precious

hi guys, i'm sorry for my bad english... i'm an italian boy and i went to SFGA on the 12nd and 13rd of may... I haven't had a rollback, but when i was in the last train of the second day, the train stopped a few seconds on the top, and we :" rollback! rollback!" but after the train went forward and we didn't have it

i went also on it, on the 15th & 16th... I saw 5 rollbacks in one day (one of them was a "back to back"), but even if I rode it 4 times, I hadn't any rollback

You sure it wasn't the 13th that this happened? Because the park was closed on the 15th and 16th due to the Nor'Easter. Or are you talking about May here?

I went in the US from 11 to 20th of may... I visited SFGA (12nd & 13rd), Cedar Point (15th & 16th) and Hershey Park (18th).... it has been a great holiday!!!!

AHH You were talking about Dragster. I thought you were talking about Kingda Ka with its double rollback which I had to opportunity to experience. That was on April 13th. Sorry about that.
