Ok, all of this is not confirmed, i guess. but ive been doing some research.

From Screamscape

Quote
Screamscape has heard a rumor that Clementon Park may have been sold to a new owner. Along with this possible news are other rumors claiming that the new owner may actually try to bring the Jack Rabbit back to life if it?s still financially feasible. Other rumors for future projects involve an expansion of the waterpark, upgraded infrastructure and more from a series of capital improvements that would come over the next 3-4 years. Anyone know more?

From Coasterdom's Forums

Quote
Hugh Bleemer has purchased Clementon Park. He wants to spend $5 million every year for 3 years to fix up the amusement park and waterpark. Next year, the entire parking lot and park will be repaved, and a new waterpark addition will be added.

From Coasterbuzz's Forums
Quote
-Jack Rabbit will need 1.5 million to run again
-Water park expansion some rides will be removed for this
-New buildings to replace old ones
-20 Million to be spent on the park
-Not sure if this was the sale price but I know it was up for sale 2 years ago for 15 million.
J2 will have work done in the off season.
J2 May open in the Next few days after getting work done on the 2nd hill. Call before you go if in the area for the ACE Preservation event.

Sale to be finalized in the next 10 days

You can delete it because its all speculation, but i think its true. all are connecting the sale to Hugh Bleemer
Excuse me, do these effectively hide my thunder?

Yup.  It is all speculation because like all business transactions, anything could happen between now and then.

Lets hope this happens and let us all hope "most" of it turns out to be true ;)

I'm just glad somebody else besides me finally posted the info so to not link it back to me lol

Tsunami / J2 was kicking butt last night Sunday 8-12-07
I got around 15 rides in 2 hours 8pm to 10pm
The J2 Crew was Great   ;)  really up and hand slapping  great work
Medusa was not working

Talk was that the Rumored "News" of the New ownership should be out Today Monday 8-13.

Also Heard/rumored that J2 may also get a name change.
Lets hope they change it back to Tsunami
Also heard that Next year they will extend the season.
And 1st and 2nd hill track work.

So get out and ride Tsunami before they make changes this off season.

FYI if going to the park to ride Tsunami  go later in the day AND STAY TILL CLOSING thats when you get all the rides and rerides if no one is waiting for your seat.

I will be going again a few more times the coming weeks its to close to home not to.

From Jswiga (Medusa ? ) posted at another site  I will edit this if you like

Clementon Park 2008 Ok so if you havent heard yet, the park is under new ownership.
First, it is not Hugh Bleemer from Chase. The company that owns the park is Adrenaline Family Entertainment. There is a gentleman named Hue, but it is not Bleemer.

Alot of changes for 2008:
1. most likely J2 WILL be trimmed as well as the second hill completely reprofiled.
2. The falling star and the chaos will be removed to make way for a new family water attraction by whitewater west called a rain fortress.(similar to the play structure at hershey but the next size smaller.) with 10 slides and over 450 interactive water objects
3. alot of money will be spent on beautification of the park, its facilities, the parking lot, the buildings, the games, and its staff,
as well as marketing.

They have alot of big plans and see alot of potential in our small Clementon Park.

GET READY!

Also the season will be extended from 76 operating dyas in 2007 to 113 in 2008 including full time in june and weekends in september and october for Halloscreams!

Season pass prices for next year will be very cheap and competitive.
big things for 2008-2010!

So this is was that big announcement, I have never been to Clementon so I do not know its current state. I would love to see a little park like this turn into something nice like Lake Compounce or Knoebels. Hopefully they will also try and re-hab Jack Rabbit!

I found out who posted that today. All the information is true. The park is also getting pricing from a few different companies to see how much it would cost to open the Jack Rabbit.

My sister works at Virtua Hospital and they been having the annual picnic there for years and this year  they are not having it at Clementon   :'(

Lets hope next year with the extended season we see more companies and people return
I like the extended season since I will be buying a season pass next year. (when they go on sale).
I just Hope Tsunami is still running good after it's surgery

Well that operation schedule is great news for next year.

They should seriously change that rain policy. The park was open, what 2 days this week?

How about that one day when it was raining in Harrisburg... and they closed? I called the park to see if they still planned on opening at 5 (they were 5-10 that day) and the lady said "There's a storm coming in from the Hershey area so we aren't opening."

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

- I rode past the park yesterday and they had a Crane over the bottom of the lift hill on Tsunami and a Train halfway up the lift I would assume train removal ? I have some pics I will post Later

- All the Picnic tables are In the back parking Lot
- I could see a giant pile of soil in the picnic area  this to me looks like they are digging a footing for a new building ?

- called the park and girl said no announcements till next year on the new owners
- asked about Season pass and she said not till next year
- in the new 10-4-07 July August ACE news they say the park is sold and the Jack Rabbit will be Demolished. if they do Demolish the coaster I will be there to take photos (this will be a sad day it was my 1st big coaster)  :'(
- I asked the Girl on the phone who was the new owner and she said an Ex Six Flags employee (I'm sure exec.) this may be how the Six Flags ownership rumor got started.
she didn't know the name of the person / group

Its a friggin shame theyre trimming that thing, but I am a firm believer that sooner or later its going to tear itself apart otherwise.

for those who didnt get to ride it without trims.. that thing was wild.

Great news about the new owners.  I also hope they will stay open if it rains.

It needs to become a family friendly atmosphere to survive and well, youd all probably agree that in years past it wasnt exactly that.

I very much hope they preserve some of jackrabbit.  that thing belongs in a museum.
Im really sad to hear about that though.. it was my first too pcman.  I hoped that because it stood for so long that someone may just try to refurb it

follow up quote from jswiga from another site:

ok heres some info
-the crane was for removal of the blue train to get it reworked for 2 train operation for next season
-the giant pile of soil was from digging but not a new building, all the pavilions on the hill are now on concrete instead of dirt and rocks and the whole back area will be black top and landscaped....no more dirt sand and rocks. (makes life a little easier for carts, strollers and wheelchairs)
-im still waiting too for some official announcements too.
-season passes i think they are just finalizing the prices and the small print and should be ready to start selling before the holidays.
-and the demolition of the jack rabbit is coming very soon, i will be taking arial photos from j2s lift hill when it starts.

i have taken a ton of pics of the whole park so that when all work is said and done we have some nice before and after pics.

thanks again to jswiga

It already is tearing itself apart. They retracked about half the ride over last off season.
