Kingda Ka's Locker Policy
« on: August 17, 2007, 12:15:02 AM »
Okay, I just want to let this out! For the past few months, they have been really anal about bags, sunglasses, anything at Kingda Ka! It's getting to the point where it's ridiculous! If you enter with VIG of Flashpass, you still have to go to the locker room! One monday, Spike and I were at KK, and they didn't notice my bag, but to Spike's glasses! They told him to pay up, and when we paid, the ride broke, and we couldn't get our money back! I've talked to the attendents at the lockers about it, and they just get angry! It's really stupid tha you can't leave ANYTHING in the station, even though your train is the only train that parks in the spot you board! No one is going to take it (and yes, this is the excuse they gave me! People complain about stolen stuff)! It's so dumb, and $2! What the hell is that crap!?!? I'm seriously getting pissed with this!

That's been the policy since day 1.  I don't see why you're all of a sudden shocked or angry about it now.  The only thing I see getting upset about is the fact that a refund wasn't available.

And for the record, where there's people, there are always thieves.

^I know it's been a policy since day 1. On opening day, I saw them eject a man from the station because he picked up his phone! I'm getting angry about it now, because I think that they're going overboard with it! I'm sure something must of happened, because I never was told to use the lockers until last month! That includes using Flashpass of the VIG pass! What really ticks me off though is the price. It's like Kingda Ka should be Up-Charge!

If you can name anything good that can come from leaving stuff in the station i will have some sympathy....

You should have got a refund but that would be about the only thing ill agree on here

How can you even receive a refund if the employees themselves that man the lockers don't even touch the money you put in the machine?

I wasn't expecting it from the staff! I kept presing the button in the machine to get my money back (I didn't even open the locker yet, and pay fully yet)!

I'd bet if you politely explained the locker issue you could have gotten a refund at GR.  This policy is one that
really should be enforced.
