Disney in 2010?!?

You can't help but think this is a early April fools joke.

To sum up the MAJOR info:

Disney has aquired a park in Canada, either the Six Flags or Cedar Fair park!

And the 5th gate in Florida that has been rumored for, well, ever is apparantly finally given the green light for a villians themed thrill park!

The huge role that Expedition Everest played in turning Animal Kingdom around inspired Disney to make a gated attraction that caters to thrill-seekers. It's not all coasters, though Disney is really pushing the envelope on that front.

Uh, it's informed speculation by a very astute theme park observer.  And I think a LOT of it will be true.  Watch and see....

Nah, I did lol  The thing is, this is coming from Rick.  He didn't write this for the hell of it.  He is almost sarcastically telling us, or so it seems, his predictions.  And being that he IS in the know, I suspect there is some meat to it.

Basically, that Disney does plan to expand into Canada and might likely do so through the purchase of a ailing park from another park chain and that the thrill park in Florida is back on the front-burner.  I don't know what to think but for somebody so connected, he is either really screwing with everybody or telling us to read between the lines.

As far as I'm concerned, the italicized text simply gets him off the hook for either spilling the beans or for having wrong speculation.

And what makes it more interesting is that I've heard similar rumblings about Canada in the last month or so about a certain Cedar Far park up there and Disney.

I did think I was looking at the makings of the beginnings of the Villain's park going to work in the Magic Kingdom everyday...until a glipmse through the trees while staying at Carribbean Beach spoiled that.  I would absolutely love it if these predictons came true.  If that villain's park came true, I might have to look into apartments in Central Florida. LOL.
