Where to stay when visiting SFNE ???

Ok the hotel we stayed at last year is coming up totally booked    and we are looking for a NICE , CLEAN and SAFE    place to stay near the park . Has anyone got any good hotels ? we only want to stay 3 days tops so give me some good ideas.

If you have some extra $$$... The Springfeild Marriott is VERY nice but can be around $140 a night without discounts. I've alwaso stayed at the Super 8, Motel 6, and Red Roof in Enfeild, CT. THey were all decent, the Red Roof being the nicest.

I agree about the Red Roof.  I have stayed at that one several times.  Nice place.  Clean, quiet and nice people, too.

Thanks I will look into the red roof inn . I have priced the marriot and well it is pretty pricey for the amount of time we will actually be there . This is not our main vacation so I am not looking to spend that amount on a room .
