Yup, watching it now - on MSNBC ironically.  Must be odd watching yourself go up in flames.

Such a shame.  85 years of history going up in smoke   And this is really close to the Hotels and the Theme Park for those that are wondering.

That is quite an impressive fire. It isn't near the theme park, but in a backlot away from the main studios.

Just reported that the Cyclone ride at the Theme Park has been badly damaged.

Thats ashame that the originals were burned , Also you cant replace movie sets/props

The masters were not damaged.  The damaged reels were replicas.  I wonder what fortress they keep the masters in.

I really feel terrible for USH.  It's one of my favorite parks, and that backlot is a sight to behold.  I never thought that back in 2004 when I went through there that I'd never see some of those structures again.  I wanted to take my girlfriend to USH and do that backlot tour too.
