Bizarre 2011 Rumor for SF Great America

I'm almost reluctant to share this, but click on the link and scroll down to the bottom where it says the 2011 addition.

If true you have to think SFKK is going the way of Geauga Lake.

Chang is possibly moving? SFkk must have something planned for that to happen.

SFKK is rumored for water park exp. in 2011. Thats why I think its going all waterpark. If Chang goes there aren't many coasters left.

I'd say the fact that an entire section was closed that happened to contain what was a major coaster (though in disrepair now) already confirmed this park is heading in a different direction. Basically, much smaller or as others have mentioned...water park only.

I wish they would move Greezed lighnin' or at least get it running so I can get my credit!!     Ever since the accident and Jay leaving SFKK, it hasn't been the same anyway.  I could see something like this happening.  Plus their water park is pretty fun the three hours we played in it.

I've got an update on this one... Apparently SFGAm are planing on running both stand-up's at the same time. For at least the first year. But a snag that's come up is 6-flags has an agreement to invest x amount into SFKK each year. Removing Chang would count as a negative to that amount. How the negative amount is to be calculated is unsure. You can't assume the original cost would be the amount, but how do you calculate the present value of a coaster. It's not like they calculate depreciation for rides. So if true, the waterpark expansion rumored for SFKK in 2011 would have to be a costly one.

I've heard the sfkk rumor before in regards to the investments but one only has to look at sfno for an example of how they can worj around existing contracts. Remember, this company is bankrupt so that gives them some wiggle room on these things.

I wouldn't believe anything on Screamscape until someone else can confirm it.

I prefer Iron Wolf to Chang and hope SFGAm keeps their stand-up going. A little refurb could make it fantastic again.

well, wasn't Iron Wolf featured in a movie? That and it's a lot like Shockwave.
