Of all the times I've been there, I never saw them use 3 trains. They stacked with 2, how, I don't know. I put most of the blame on the seatbelts. These new trains don't have them, so stacking will be cut in half, if not altogether.

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

When it first opened when I went they had all 3 trains running with minimal stacking. I am just curious to see what happens with this.

I have seen them use three trains at least once. I'm pretty sure they used them at one of the HoliWood Nights ERTs you were at as well, Ack.

They did not Matt... I've been to 2 of them, neither had 3 trains. Too many brownies maybe?

Well anyhow, I know for a fact they used all three trains at the inaugural HoliWood Nights for at least one of the two nights. I remember saying at the event that they'll never be able to run all three as slow as they were dispatching two. And then I was flabbergasted that night to see all three on for ERT. Even with expert riders, they stacked for about 30 seconds on each cycle. Seat belts (and loose articles) kill capacity!

Be careful there.  Next thing you know, you will be providing ample justification for $1 lockers at the beginning of each queue for loose articles.  Just for capacity, you know...

OMG I hate it sooooo much when people bring the refilable cup and get all worked about it when they learn they can not leave it on the other side!

Well, Knoebels doesn't make you empty your pockets before getting on and they don't believe in seat belts either and they have buzzbars on the Phoenix so they only have to check one side of the train. And they don't make you wait behind the air gates until the exit platform is cleared. Instead they dispatch the train while people are still leaving the exit platform. 25 seconds is about the average turnaround between the train arriving and dispatching again. Go Knoebels!

I Wonder how PTC is taking all this.
They are known to advertise their trains on the #1 Voyage.

I would think these trains make the coaster more re-ridable   (if that's a word) ?
But if the dispatch is faster these may also help in other parks.
If it can make it there (The Voyage) it can make it anywhere.

I for one like aggressive coasters with alot of padding (THe Coney Island Cyclone) makes it more fun, softer landing when getting bounced around.
Like riding a wild sofa LOL  :D

HHmm   until reports come in  who knows

Yo

IMO, the stock PTC's with soft seat dividers and no headrests are among the comfiest trains around and don't need anymore padding. For some reason the corporate parks over time replace the plush padding with thick, hard foam rubber that makes it harder to fit in the seat and makes it less comfortable.

My question was rhetorical. But however that answer was correct especially the "go knoebles" part. Ever notice the we <3 roller coasters sign by the mic on phoenix. The first thing I noticed when I sat down for my first ride. I've since realized how fitting that sticker is.

^^ IMO the only company crossing its fingers here is GG. If these trains arn't better they are getting switched back to PTC for 2011. How's that going to look? Timberliners extinct before they even started. I would have liked to have seen them tested on a lower profile ride. Boardwalk Bullet perhaps. They must be confident in the product.

Uhhh....they were tested.  On Raven.  Earlier this summer.  Both Will Koch and Gravity Group were well pleased.  If that were not the case, there would be no change to Voyage to be announced at this time...

Perhaps tested was the wrong word. I meant to be used full time going forward. Not a trial run.
