Please keep our wonderful GM Matt in your prayers. He was involved in a serious car/bus accident this morning while on his way to work. It's going to be on the news, so we wanted to tell you first.
Thanks for all the prayers for GM Matt today. He's still in critical condition, but is stable. We'll keep you updated on his condition here and hope for good news to come.
Matthew Eckert, 37, was driving a 2004 Honda SUV south on Indiana 162 when his vehicle was struck by a school bus in front of Nancy Hanks Elementary School.Eckert was transported from the accident scene by Lifeflight helicopter. According to an accident report released by the Spencer County Sheriff's Department, Eckert suffered head, arm and chest injuries."It was a rough wreck," said Holiday World spokeswoman Paula Werne. EVANSVILLE — The condition of Holiday World & Splashin' Safari General Manager Matt Eckert has been upgraded to fair or stable condition. Eckert continues to be treated in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary's Medical Center.Eckert, 37, sustained head and chest injuries in a Monday morning crash with a school bus on Indiana 162 in Spencer County.
