Title: Opening day for El Toro?
Post by: sir clinksalot on February 20, 2006, 04:07:02 PM
I've been looking through all of the El Toro related threads and I can't seem to find an opening date that has been announced.

I know it's not going to be open for opening day (let's not bark up that tree again ;) ).

We are going to be there on May 25th and were just making sure it will be open. I'm sure it will but I also want to make sure there is a few weeks of "breaking in" time since it is, after all, an Intamin.

^ I hope it's ready by the time you get here. Progress today looked great they had people everywhere on it . On the lift, getting ready for more footers and installing track. Your guess is about as good as mine right now.

There not saying any definite dates, all they said is a late Spring opening...

I'm hoping for May 20th, my 30th birthday :( :)

I really don't think they have a clue at this point.  Its too early to tell with the way the weather is around here.

My birthday is on May 11th, that would be neat if it opened around that time. But, whenever it opens I will be there!

I'm hoping they learn from this and start construction earlier next time so the ride opens with the park. (Actually, I remember saying that same thing last year   )

Maybe it's just me, but I doubt very seriously you will have to worry about when coaster construction starts at Six Flags for quite some time.  Instead, improvement monies will be spent on customer service, park infrastructure, cleanliness and general improvements, all of which had been mostly overlooked by prior management.
