Title: Another Intamin Tower Accident
Post by: WadeJ on June 09, 2008, 03:36:54 PM
I'm done riding these things.  There is something wrong if you need to rely on a ride op so save yourself from having body parts slashed off.  This one fortunately had a happy ending.  Although I'm shocked they reopened the ride the same day...

Yeah I think I am done with this type of ride . Kind of makes you think how many more cables will snap ?

For a second I thought that link was to coastercarvers.net!!  :o

If that ride was in the US it would not have opened again.

Wow. Although this bothers me, I can't see myself swearing off these rides. I love 'em too much. Besides I will probably bite it in a cable snapping mishap on the Knoebels flyers before Intamin gets me. ;)

Yes Matt you have a better chance of Flying those Flyers off into the trees then Falling from these type of rides.

I also Love them the one at P:KD is awesome one of the best Flats 300' just hanging there.

But Safety is always a concern

Cabel looks like dental floss

Didnt these guys get the memo?

Maybe it is just me, but i would bet my bottom dollar those cables would rather SHOULD be 10x then they ever were, with these flaws worked out

Very spooky, even more chilling to see it re-opened the SAME day
