Title: Coney Island 6/18
Post by: ChuckR on June 20, 2007, 04:36:50 PM
Well, I decided to come up to Coney Island on Monday to ride the insane Breakdance and the Topspin(which was closed  :'( ). So with the help of Ian and Robb it was a very fun day.

We arrived at Astroland at around 12:30pm and after entering Prison to get our three dollars off coupon for the POP, we were off. First up was the Cyclone, we waited about 15 minutes for the back seat and finally boarded. I will probaly get yelled at for saying this but, I just don't understand all the hype about it be so great. I rode it twice today and this ride doesn't crack my top ten wood. It's fun, just don't ride in the back unless you want your back re-adjusted.

We then made our way to the highlight of the trip, the Breakdance. Oh my god!  :o I don't remember that thing being so INSANE! It was amazing, probaly one of the best flats I have been on in my life! Afterwards, we hit the Bumper Cars which are right behind Knoebols and Indiana Beach in terms of quality. Did some hand slapping on the Scrambler and got wet on the Log Flume.

Then, the credho inside me just had to get a new credit. So $2.50 later, I had #243 under my belt on the Sea Serphent at Deno's!

Anyway onto the pictures...

Top Spin has been having trouble with the restraints and what not. I'm not really suprised that Astroland hasn't fixed it yet! Have you ever ridden it with the water on?

the office seemed like a prision...

The office was actually the old station for the Cable Cars, I think the name for them was something along the lines of "Space Bubbles". There is an other office in the Arcade building and it goes behind Top Spin. For me, that place is a prison!
