You guys think HH will see an additions this season? It could definitely use some.
-
Doubtfull. HH hasn't seen a really decent addition in years in terms of rides, and if anything comes our way anytime soon it will probably just be a Proslide Tornado ;(
-
I actually would go over there if they added a Tornado, they are fun slides.
I think it would be a good idea to make some additions, waterparks are big money makers. A Tornado and water coaster are two of the things I'd like to see, but I don't see it happening this year. Maybe next year with the hotel when they can combine the marketing to give folks more of a reason to stay the night.
-
Yeah, a water coaster such as a master blaster would be a great addition. I think I would actually go to ride one because they look very out the the ordinary and fun. I just can't see me wasting day away for a Tornado though.
-
Doug, water coasters aren't very out of the ordinary anymore. Master Blaster type rides are popping up quite a bit lately.
I wouldn't waste a visit to HH just for Tornado. I don't find them to be that fun or thrilling. I am a speed/body slide guy myself.
-
I would love to see a mat slide like the ones at Raging Waters in Wildwood. There are drops in it while your already have speed and you get some major airtime.

Like these two slides.
-
I don't think HH will get anything new next season. I'm hoping they decide to add something in 07, because they REALLY need it. Basically, any addition would be a good addition. I prefer a water coaster or a racer slide myself.

I agree with that in saying that with the hotel will come something for HH. Adding something to HH will make people more likely to stay in the hotel because not only will there be the indoor water park (correct me if im wrong on that), but there will also be a nice outdoor water park right next door for them to go on the hot days. I will go with a Tornado or Water Coaster.
-
They should get a shotgun falls with like 10 slides so the lines aren't rediculous. The shotgun falls in wildwood are awsome. For those of you who do not know what "Shotgun Falls" is its a small body slide with a drop off into a pool from around 5-10 feet above the water.
-
HH will not recieve anything for this coming year.. as of right now atleast.
-
Nick, you ruin all the fun of our speculation. We know that it looks like another grim year for HH, but can't we be dreamers every one and a while? Disney style!
-
lol, sorry doug. HH is our poor little neglected waterpark that still boasts the most rides and largest waterpark ever.
We boast all of that, right? lol. Something like that i cant even remember anymore.
Ive never been on a tornado, that would be nice to have.

2008... 8)

Look at Wade, so sure of himself overe there
-
Well if nothing has been seen like parts yet at HH I dont think we are looking at anything for 06.
I went to this one water park where they had this really steep slide that would just be like one drop than flat and into a giant pool and they had these heavy like fiberglass sleds that would skid across the pool at the end. I got a real kick out of it and think it would be cool for HH but I have actually never been to Great Adventure's HH.

^Water Country USA in VA has one of those it's called Rampage. Now off to find a picture.
Here's the llink to WCUSA..http://www.4adventure.com/water_country/va/ar_rampage.aspx it's the best I could do. That whole water park was a lot of fun. My favorite ones were Nitro Racer and Lemon Drop.
-
I found the site, here is a picture.

That would be awesome, they have one at Mountain Creek, but the drop seemed higher.

considering an indoor waterpark is going to be built in Berlin, NJ, on a 12 acre property off of rt-73, to be open within a year. SF will do something for our HH. This park is going to be named Sahara Sam's Oasis.

One of my favorite rides at WCUSA was the Peppermint Twist body slides. HH needs more body slides! :)
-
peperment twist as of 2003 was SUPER rough. They need to fix that big time. It really hurt my back

OK , so If they can't get a new slide at least they could fill the lazy river with more tubes!! Waiting for a tube in better words sucked. Even worst, were the people who went around the river without a tube.
Now you could say "Bubba, you could always rent a tube" And my reply would be this : why rent a tube if I'm only going to use the wave pool, kiddie area and the lazy river maybe twice. This is because 90% of the time I'm with my daughter who isn't into slides yet.( except the orange one behind the 1,000 gallon bucket) The 10% when I'm with friends they always seem to have enough tubes, but not enough for the lazy river.
Just think of the problems If CF didn't buy SFWOA we wouldn't have half the tubes we have now.
Bottom line " BUY MORE TUBES" Now your thinking if they bought more tubes they wouldn't make money renting tubes. I know supply and demand it's all set up that way to make more money! In that case just raise the gate price and stop renting tubes.
Is there a solution, what if we did get a new slide? Could you imagine.
-
Most water parks stock pile tubes. Im suprised we have such a shortage.
I dont think we NEED a new slide. I think we need other things though. Maybe another interactive shin dig.. and well maybe another famil slide as well. They should be creative with thier water rides.. god knows theres a million and one options out there now adays..
-
I'm actually getting worried about the condition of the place. They built a Disney quality park and have let it go since it opened. 2005 really started to show some wear and tear on the infrastructure.
Perhaps sprucing things up a bit before adding more slides and fixing capacity problems on the existing attractions as well.
-
It sickens me to see the lazy river entrances usually unattended, and then, there are still more than half of the guests walking around without tubes. Maybe we can add a giant 100+ foot ball single rider tube tower like WOA.
-
When I went to HH for the first time this summer with the camp I work for, the kids had a blast in the lazy river. I think because it was so light restriction wise, like them letting you go without a tube. All of us got tired wating for tubes, so we were just kind of lazily floating down the river, grabbing tubes that people would eventually abandon. Then races started, on foot, swimming, or on tube. The life guards didn't mind at all, and actually told me to tell my boss that my kids were well behaved and that they were the best group they've seen all day. After running maybe 5 laps in that river, I unnoficially re-named it the "un-lazy river".
-
I went to HH last year and a great time. Before that day, I hadn't ridden many slides there. So, basically all the slides were new to me. My friends and I had a great time at the park, and we really enjoyed a lot of the attractions. I agree RJ, the lazy river is great! We had a great time in the lazy river :D

Right now HH is a one time visit. I am fufilled and do not need to return.
They need to do something about that factor..
-
I went there last year in August for the 1st time and had a horrible time. I wound up banging my foot on something going down one of the slide (or in the pool at the end) and it was bleeding and basically ended my trip. Like an idiot, I did not report it and my foot to this day still is lumped on the top, discolored and hurts when I wear a shoe.
They could give me free tickets and I would still never go back.
