Title: Glow in the Park! And Construction Time!!

So I heard that they would be doing a run of Glow in the Park tonight in preparation for the first official showing tomorrow, and headed over to the park. Since it closed at 9 they started the parade a little after 8. Still seems to be running as well as the first year, although one flat was not lit and Mr. Six's had to be pushed at the end. And all the performers had a lot of energy and seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is always great!

You can watch most of the parade right here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeKPmTfe-Fs#noexternalembed). After I took pictures at the fountain I headed to the Boardwalk to catch up to it!

As the most important other note I have for tonight:

The Spongebob/Mach V/Fly Me to the Moon building has an Under Construction sign on it. We have every reason to believe that this will be a new attraction for the 2011 season (and not just a new video in the simulator), so begin speculating and getting excited now!

On some other notes, everything looked pretty good tonight. And Houdini was open! And I was having fun with my new camera! Here's a video of Kingda Ka running in the dark (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-xtWztpDNA#noexternalembed).

Also, the Scream Machine trains were green and black to advertise Axe. Sigh.

Oh, and sorry for the Widescreen shots. I had my camera set on Widescreen mode and forgot to reset it. They look better anyway. Enjoy!

My hope is that Fly Me goes 5D (http://www.gadvoutpost.com/home.php/topic,3479.0.html). There's been whispers elsewhere in the web (mostly tweets) thinking similarly.

I heard from one of the reps that it's a new simulator ride. Can anyone say that 5-d rumor is gonna be in NJ?

It's not gonna be changed. The Park president already told the village of Gurnee Review Board it will be a Standup coaster.

I am 100% serious about Chang going to Great America and it remaining a standup. No idea how this will ultimately affect Great Adventure. But I'm sure they are going to want to move Iron Wolf somewhere. ;)

We don't know yet. I'd guess it will remain some kind of simulator, but may be enhanced to 5th dimension or whatever and be more like the Shrek simulator at Universal.

It will probably be used to show advertisements for Axe and a new advertiser.  One hopes Al Weber is making changes to contribute to a more family positive, less ad free environment.  One hopes.
