One week from today is A Walk in the Park at Great Adventure. This program helps raise money to find cures for kids cancer, and to help find happiness for those who already have it.
Great Adventure Outpost is participating in the walk again this year, and you still have time to either join our team or donate to us! While we have gone far past the goal set by Wade ($595 at the time of this writing), mostly thanks to Sue, we can always use more help!
You can click right here (http://www.walkintheparks.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&eventID=510&teamID=5196) to either join our team, or if you want to donate just click on one of our names and support us!
We thank you all for support, as does Six Flags and the Children's Miracle Network.
Also, here is some more information on the program:

Fundraising Page for Six Flags Great Adventure
June 13, 2010 at Six Flags Great Adventure
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the fundraising page! I hope you will consider supporting our team's participation in the 2010 "A Walk in the Park" event at Six Flags. All contributions will benefit Cure Kids Cancer and Children's Miracle Network. 100% of the funds raised will go to our local Children's Miracle Network hospital to help support pediatric cancer programs. Any contribution will help, and all donations are tax deductible.
Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation, please search for one of the team participants and then click the "Support This Participant" button on their page. Donations can only be made to individuals, but the total each participant raises goes toward out team goal.
Thank you for visiting the fundraising page!

IS this the walk in the park that was canceled from a while ago?
-
No. That was Hope for the Holidays that was cancelled due to the weather.
-
does anybody have more info on this? for example, do you walk from one end of the park to the other? where do you meet? should i bring my pass with me? etc. i really want to do this but need some more info. one of my friends in school just got through having cancer and i wanna walk to help find a cure.

The way it was last year is that you register beforehand, and then come into the normal parking lot a little before 9. While walking towards the front gates on the right there was a check-in table with gates open into the picnic area. You checked in, got a t-shirt, waited for the opening ceremonies and then everyone walked together through Movietown and.. I forget where. But we were back in the picnic grove by 10.
The only reason you'd need your pass is if you want to go into the park after.

Can't wait for the walk on Sunday! Looking forward to seeing and/or meeting others!

We are up to almost $900, with a few more days to go! Any more donations (or team participation) would be appreciated. Let's see if we can break $1000!

This is a rough time of year with school and baseball winding down all at once ! Hope the weather is good for everyone and enjoy the walk !
