Is Kingda Ka's tower really in a spot that would make this feasible? Let alone the various other issues.
Removing the Kingda from Ka and making it just a drop tower might be a better solution.

The only way I see this being feasible is if they were to close Kingda Ka. I guess the only other option might be to build a enclosed queue leading up to the tower to protect people waiting in line from debri and flying objects off of Ka but it just seems too far away anyway.

Well, we still have part of the original queue that leads all the way down to the tower, a lot of cleaning and landscaping could fix it up to be walkable. But yeah, this is going to be a pretty challenging concept for Six Flags (and I guess Intamin) to pull off.

I think if they do a drop tower off Ka it would be stupid. Capacity would be a nightmare! Plus, there are plenty of other empty spots in the park they can put it at.

I think it's wide enough for two? That will be neat!
I agree though, we could get a gyro drop where all of our "new" rides are going. Atleast we salvaged the Scrambler from Bushkill! (poor park :()

"Six Flags Great Adventure has been sending out a survey about possible new attractions under consideration this week, and wouldn’t you know it,
but one of the ideas pitched is
1. “Worlds tallest drop tower”, a 400+ foot free fall experience. They don’t mention that it will be attached to the Kingda Ka tower,
but it sure fits the bill.
2 .Anothr interesting idea pitched in the survey include an Animal Safari excursion tour that leave from the theme park
and take you on a guided off-road tour into the wilderness. They also talk about
3 .“Bumper Kart Racing”,
4. “3D Interactive Space Adventure Coaster”,
5. “World’s Biggest Interactive Fun House” and
6. “Hyper Fast Steel Coaster”. The later idea mentions a 70mph coaster
experience that will rip through a track over a mile long, going from Golden
Kingdom through Plaza Del Carnaval and over to Frontier Adventures and back again."
this coaster sounds cool to me maybe like a Cheetah type coaster running up and over everything ?

i dont see how a coaster could go through plaza del carnaval and into frontier adventures with the wall that is el toro basically covering all of that area.

Option 5 and 3 both sound interesting... but hey who doesn't like a new coaster.

The "tallest drop ride" rumor has been around for a while. A few years ago, it was pretty much confirmed that they were building it in the old Batman arena, and it would have an observation deck at the top as well, with an elevator in the center bringing up guests (much like SFMM and SFoT. The drop ride part was to hold 60 people at a time. Who knows if that's the same one, but we can hope. I was also recently that our Wing coaster got scrapped, which is unfortunate because it looked amazing, with a custom layout. :(

They could always expand the Golden Kingdom around the other side of Ka into the parking lot (like they love to do), which would make any potential Ka-strapped Drop Tower less isolated. As for the hyper coaster, El Toro has low points it could probably go between. It could also go around the back of the lift. If it's going into Frontier Adventures, that would be the reason to get rid of Bizarro. You have to make space for a turnaround somewhere.

If they do that means we lost our 95, 97, and 99 coasters to the park. That leaves 01 which is nitro to go next :o

The new drop tower going down the side of Supesmat SFMM is apparently being clamped on and not welded so it looks like Intamkn has a new way to install to a previously existing structure.

The teepee would be a great location.
As long as the view isn't of the garbage dump/parking lot.
Put it in movie town and that is exactly what you will get.
Not that drop towers are my thing, especially after viewing this -> Link (http://rionews.ws/?p=19204).
Remove the seat if it can NEVER be used.

Attached to Kingda Ka or nothing is my prediction. You guys need bumber car go karts.. thats like the American dream isn't it. Or is racing only awesome because of the crashes? I could never figure this one out. A little help B-mac.

You have to wonder with the removal of the play structures in the Golden Kingdom last year which was said to be happening as part of a long-term plan and will be used in the near future has some actual potential now.

The Daytona opening weekend in February was the best on in over a decade just because of the amount of crashes in it. I'm on my phone so I'll post a large crop of videos proving why later.
I. Have. No. Problem with great adventure expanding into the back of the golden kingdom. i do however wonder how they'll get people able to ride the drop tower when there is only one place for the drop tower to go, in the center where they lack the permit allowing people to walk under kingda ka's launch.

My favourite driver is Cole Trickle. Ricky Bobby is a close 2nd.
