I got my Mom on GASM when she was around 60 :) she only went on it once. :'(

Get that video of Shockwave up!

I think I have about a minute on a DVD I can get up tomorrow.
And then find the other Video later

I honestly think that this may be the only Video of Shockwave on the net, very nice find

Here is 14 seconds of GASM and SHockwave from the parking lot
in Flash format to keep it small 1.5mb (original was 15mb)
I will convert to another format later and Wade will post in downloads.

Thats a really cool video Tom! Try to get more video up of Shockwave!
It's awesome to hear it had the B&M roar!
-
I know I have a lot of pics of the park from that visit I need to scan just need the time.
Will look for more video.
Did you have any problem viewing the Flash format ?
I have some of Hercules but with a little profanity in it I need to cut out :o
also some of Knobels around 1991 or something like that I can't believe it was 17 years ago time flies.
I have about 15 - 2 hour tapes I have to go through mixed with family events, and other stuff.
I think I have also have some of SFOG (cyclone opening) and PKD during a MACC coaster event around the same years.Thats the Standup coaster and Anaconda was the big new rides.
I used to take my camcorder everywhere.
will post here links and such as I find them

Wow I was 2 years old in 1990.
I wonder what Gadv is going to look like in 17 years.
Think we will all make fun of the way we look?
-
Cool Shockwave footage. I've actually been a clone of it at La Ronde. It was okay, but it's still cool to see the original Intamin Stand-Up in it's second location. I have photos from SFGAv from 1984 and on (well, my mom's and grandma's) and footage from 1994 (I didn't film it for once...because I was 4).

OMG I remember that ride . It was painful then and riding the one at CP was painful two years ago!! That was so long ago I guess I am pushing it when I say I am still 21 huh. I was like 18 when I rode that thing for the first time. How the park has changed.

Did you have any problem viewing the Flash format ?
Why not imbed the .flv file into a .swf file so you don't have to install anything special to play it?
The Flash Plugin that just about everyone has installed will play that video.
Just an idea for the future...
Thanks for posting that video!! Short but sweet!
I remember Shockwave wasn't very good for men with that bicycle seat setup.
Ouch!

Tom, that is great footage right there, I have never seen Flashback in actual action, it always amazes me at how much the park changes over the years
I loved Mantis at CP, I found it not painful at all especially in the area where the bike seat comes up.
-
17 years but I think I remember it being a little bumpy
it was ok but I'm not into multi loopers that much.
-
I MUCH prefer the Shockwave that was at Great Adventure (I rode it while it was at Astroworld) to Mantis. I would just as soon not ride Mantis ever again.
