Way more.
*edit*
Fealt that I needed to add to that.  More pictures taken for sure, but depending on how much there is to see there may not be a lot more than that.  I'd still count on more though.

Update - Weather permitting, we are hoping to post the update sometime towards the end of next week (Thursday or Friday).

You should be seeing some great stuff from one of our affiliates as well :)

And YES, expect a pointless, large number of photos.  More than we would ever really need (but why not?).  We are getting video as well if there is anything worth filming ;)

If I had money I'd buy an extra SD card to film anything that was worth filming that popped up.  Honestly, I wouldn't be suprised if the tour ends up being "Topping off day"

That would be awesome to see the topping of Toro. I will get pictures this time... :P

You could get a 16 GB CF card..... for like $15,000  :D  But hey, it would hold enough pics for a couple years.

Post by: innervision on December 03, 2005, 07:48:39 AM
Well...Since this kinda is the camera thread, my fuji s7000 can get ~180 pictures on a 256 at 6mp, and about half that at 12mp. Luckily I have 1gb worth of CF cards in the bag.

I have a 1GB card in my HP 945. I'm pretty sure that's the only camera I'll bring, no need for the Kodak. That holds about 500 pictures.

George and I also discovered that 5MP cameras can print 24x36 posters out nice and clear ;) So I'm gonna be looking for a nice poster/desktop background shot too.

 Same here.  I've been playing around a bit on campus with my camera just to get used to some of the tricks I can pull with it if I'm not using the standard "auto" setting.

The amount of pictures per card depend on what resolution and quality setting you have set on your camera. Like I have a 7.1 MP G6 from Canon and when I have it on its highest resolution and quality I can fill a gig card with less then a hundred pics

I want to Thank you guys again for inviting me. Also a shout out to Kristin and Angel for the great tour.  I also wanted to say thanks to the other women as well for taking our group photo and answering  some of our questions.

So far all the pictures look great . Iam a little disappointed in  Jerry and George for only coming up with 7 pages  , I thought you would have at least 16 or so. Then again you do have that shot of me staring at an empty Viper station to make up for it , Thanks

Again,  it was a great time meeting everyone and watching El Toro go up!!   I pretty much have all the same shots , so I took these on the way home.

First I grabbed some sliders.

If any of you visited CoasterSims last night to look at out update, sorry about the slow loading and whatnot.  There was a problem with my coding (mostly that I suck) and it didn't make itself apparent during testing of the page.  It loads a lot faster and better now.

Actually the reason for the huge hole in the infield is so that the water can drain away from the main site for right now.

OK
that was my second thought about the swale.

Yes I could tell they faked it  with almost all the other kids up there
it was funny

Did Kristen say if Toro will open when the park does ?
How about dual Season pass early ride times on Fridays for both Toro and King  ?
In other words did she answer any questions that we already don't know  ?

thanks
tom

They don't know when Toro is opening, they didn't set any dates on opening.

I forgot to ask about the early openings on Friday.

Are any of you guys ACE members  ?

ACE holds a Winter event near Allentown every year and all the local Park reps. show up and demo the new rides in Video and slide shows and construction updates they also take Q and A .
It's a good time to get some info on upcoming rides and events.

It's a fun time I won 2 dorney park tickets last year.
I could have took the GrAdv tickts but already had a season pass.

Minor little update -

I've heard there is a small chance that a pathway from the back of Golden Kingdom (back by the elephants?) might be opened up which would land you right in front of Rolling Thunders station.  This would help ease the traffic flow down by El Toros turnaround as seen halfway down this page-

http://www.gadvupdates.com/12-8-2005Update4.html

Anybody else heard such a thing?  Likes or dislikes on the idea?

Post by: KingdaKaRuler05 on December 12, 2005, 12:34:57 PM
^So the path will go from Balins Jungleland to RT's station? That sounds good to me. They're going to need the most open space they can get because of not using the bridge. Also, it wouldn't make PDC a complete dead end.

well anything is better than what they have going on now.  remember what medusa lines looked like the first year?  The big scary intimidating way beyond the entrance and cobra roll 3 hour lines?

el torro is going to look like that unless they do something with the pathways.

and im still angry about no bridge.
