I just heard that the date slated for EL Toro's opening is May 30th. Can anyone confirm or deny that this is the truth?
-
While the park has stated they are shooting for a Memorial Weekend opening, nothing is set in stone yet.
-
I will be riding it on May 30th

I will be riding it on May 30th with the ECC
Yep...IF it is licensed and open. If not, you will be either watching it test or watching it be completed...like the rest of us.

Something semi-El Toro related:
Rolling Thunder was testing today. Red train, right side. Pictures possibly tomorrow. I didn't have time to upload it today, and I need to get some sleep.

Did they give RT a thorough rehab since it's been down so long??? It'd be sweet if they did.
-
They have re-tracked parts of it over the last two years, but with El Toro in the way it's hard to see if people have been working on it or not. Hopefully they had a little time to work on it. Oh, That's right, I forgot you didn't get to ride RT while you were here. :( I guess you'll be back for those credits :)
In other news , El Toro will open when it opens. Hopefully very soon !!
-
Last year they were retracking RT back when first stages of construction were underway. So thus it probably got a nice rehab since alot of the tracking was done earlier on in the whole PDC construction. If it doesnt have a nice rehab, I'll be dissappointed.

RT did get some retracking this past off-season. But it really needs a full redo.
I do understand the trains got some significant attention this year though :).
-
Yay for RT!!!! :-) I hope it's open the 1st weekend in June so Rich and I can take our final ride as single people.

The significant attention I would like to see is the hard foam padding replaced with the vynal covered soft core padding. That would make the ride far, far more enjoyable.
