21st? good Charlotte , boys like girls , metro station and the maine ? Not quite sure on the last one but my kids are crazy about good charlotte not that I can even spell it but anyway just wondering if anyone else was gonna be there for the day I am looking for it to be PACKED with this line up .
-
The Maine are really good. I like them so they are probably gonna open as they are still the unheard of band compared to the rest of them. I may go but I am not sure yet.
-
They need to book the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I may go for GC, but thats it
-
LOL Robb... GC.... Ahhh to be a n00b again ;)
-
^ Says the Madonna fan
-
Madonna?!?
-
Yes Madonna and also Boy George! :P
-
Be advised to concert goers, heavy traffic volume from north 537. Traffic is lining up at wawa to begin entering the gates. Use caution.
-
...And that was Clint in the sky...Back to Wade in the studio
-
Don't know why it was so packed on 537 trying to get into the lot but about 30 mins to an hour later, it was clear traffic again. But as I was leaving HH around 6, the overflow lot was about...half filled I would guess. Thats alot of people for that concerto.
-
We arrived at 10:15 to the park and had a great morning by 12 the lines started to grow and from there on out it was pretty packed.
The concert was good . my Fav. part was Good Charlotte . The kids liked it . IT was VERY LONG and Very Crowded. Each band had their own equipment and there was about a 20 min down time in between acts . The crowd was good in comparison to other concerts i have been to.
Leaving The park was an adventure all on it's own . People were everywhere and the cars just didn't move. From the lot to 537 took about 40 min. From there it was no better from the front of the park to Wawa it had to be another 20 to 30 min.
The kids had fun and well that is what us parents do for our kids. ;)

I left at 6 and it was a pain going towards I-195. So I just shot down the backroad there at Wawa and went home the scenic route to I-195. It was brutal. Frightfest like too.
-
There is even a quicker way to 195 on busy days by taking a left out of the parking lot.
-
Theres and even faster way...take 537 Staight to Rt 9 and 9 to the GSP
-
I'm so glad I don't have to go that way :)
-
That's only faster if 537 isn't DESTROYED because of the traffic that has to go that way to get to 195, as it was that night. People were just waiting till about midnight for traffic to clear before leaving work.
-
^ Well, of course, but once your past that....I always avoid the NJTP
-
Go down the road at Wawa. Make a right at the stop sign. Make a left at the next stop sign. Go about 5 miles and hop on at Exit 11 in Imlaystown. Or if you wanna get really slick, go over the overpass and take a left onto 526 and take that all the way and make a left when you cant go any further and go 3 exits to 130 and then get on at Jamesburg for the TP and WAH-LAH! No traffic and you get some nice scenery :)
-
You NJers all know the backroads and everything. It amazes me everytime
-
That's what happens when you live in the BEST STATE EVER!
-
^ Im gonna call your bluff. New York is obviously the best state...it's a no brainer
-
^ This coming from a guy who's only been in less than an handful of states :)
-
What does NY have that Jerz doesn't? NYC does not hold up an entire state.
-
We have Niagara Falls, New York City itself, some of the best drinking water in the world and also the New York Yankees
-
Yankees Shmankees...
If only the state could get a top ten coaster... ;)
-
We have a notable waterfall in Paterson, I already said NYC doesn't count (but we have cities too if you wanna go there), and we have the Trenton Thunder. Majors, no. But we still get to see hurt Yankees play, LOL.
-

Ok maybe not top 10 but we do have the CYCLONE ... that should count for something ... Though this from the woman who lives on an island most noted for it's garbage dump. LOL
-
Cyclone is a very good coaster... close to top 10, certainly top 20.
-
Where would all those people in Ny live... if it weren't for NJ and Connecticut.
-
Well for what it's worth, the New York Jets play in New Jersey
Lets leave Philly out of this, thats not a true city
-
Philly is a city, New York is just THE city. Too bad that doesn't trump the best state ever on it's own, since it's about complete packages. We have city, country, the shore, "mountains", pine barrens, and Great Adventure! Other than NYC itself, NY State can't trump us. :P
-
We got the Catskills :D
-
yeah but you cant surf in those!
-
We have the Appalachians!
-
And counties! Compare that to your boroughs!
-
We got the really tall buildings and Wall St.
-
Whoa whoa whoa....we got Goldman Sachs in Jersey City thank you very much. And we have above ground power lines!
-
We have ground power lines too...We got the Empire State Building...FTW
-
We have many tall buildings!
-
How bout the worlds biggest mass transit system?
-
Wait... I'm just cathing this for the first time... Are we having a debate of NY vs. NJ??? I may be able to settle this.
THEY BOTH SUCK.
:)
-
We were the first place to have buffalo wings!
-
Hold on....HOBOKEN was the first place baseball appeared. Thank You! Your precious Yankees wouldn't exist without NJ.
-
I think Clint just sealed the deal.
-
Hey, there both better than Mississippi!
-
No no, We have Brooklyn, home of MANY famous people throughout the years!
Dainan would back me on this one
-
So is Jersey. Plus we got smart ones that do things like invent the light bulb, and the Theory of Relativity. Yeah, take that!
-
Damn it you guys got Joe Pesci...
At least we got 26 world championships....
-
This might go down as the most hi-jacked thread in Updates history :)
-
Definitely Agree! LOL
-
I second that, NY is still better....We got the Statue of Liberty
-
The concert was great!
-

Thats an invalid argument because NJ doesn't even have a baseball team. Durhh.
-
I second that, NY is still better....We got the Statue of Liberty
Technically, its in New Jersey ;)
Your state has 2 crappy hockey teams. What does that say?
Actually, your lost like 2 or 3 guys, which made the team good. So have fun this season :D
-
So glad I started this thread ...
BTW I love my state (ny) but i would rather live in the south over the north anyday . Palm trees and warmer weather year round . Plus Disney and Universal are open Year round coaster fixes EVERYWEEKEND ... Not that the coasters are always better but still open in the dead of winter guys.
-
Maybe Florida, but any other states in the south suck compared to NJ.
You get all four seasons, surrounded by a bunch of great parks, awesome people, great looking girls, NJ Devils, the list can go on....
I just think Disney would get boring after a while....
-

Its actually three, you forgot Buffalo. :)

Remind me to smack you when you return :D
-
I'll just send you a picture from Euro Disney...
-
I just think Disney would get boring after a while....
I concur! Atleast, that was how Disneyland felt for me. Disney World...now that may be more appreciable since its like a whole province by itself. Plus when I turn 21, downtown Disney could be quite promising.
-
Not really since Pleasure Island is closing for good this month. I'm sincerely sad about that one.

Last time I checked, Flyers played in PA
Epcot's foods of the world will never get boring...then again I just love eating...
-
Flyers do play in PA, Buffalo Sabers.
I need to get back to Disney. Its been not even a year :P
-
But the Flyers practice in NJ and the Phantoms may relocate to NJ thus making the Flyers Franchise definitely in NJ.
After that point, NJ has the Trenton Thunder who are a Double A team for the Yankees so to bad mouth NJ is to bad mouth the Yankees!
-
Lol, NJ smells for most of the ride into NYC, that stretch of NJTP Sucks!!
-
I don't see Metro North have any multi-level railcars like NJ Transit.
-
Well, that small stretch of Turnpike along Port Elisabeth is the price of 80% of the nation's goods coming through JERSEY! And a whole lot of oil refining.
-
Uhhh Howland Hook....Biggest Seaport in NYC and NY for that matter
..And the Statue of Liberty is property of NEW YORK
-
But it is still on NJ property therefore its ours. Its the same as New Yorker parking their car in a NJ Car Lot. You may own it, but we have it.
-
How so if its in " Liberty Island,New York, U.S."
-
Check your boundary lines there bud. Its in New Jersey.
-
The majority of the island it is on is located in New York. However, the boarder between NY and NJ claims the Statue.
-
Liberty Island has been found to actually reside in NJ. Ellis Island however is on the NY side of the Hudson. Ever wonder why NY had to take Lady Liberty off of their plates?
-
Thats quite a disgrace that the Statue belongs to NJ if it is indeed true...
-
Ok, I was wrong. I decided to check up on what I heard before and this is the official stance of the Government:
The Statue of Liberty is on Liberty Island, federal property administered by the National Park Service, located within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of New York. A pact between New York and New Jersey, ratified by Congress in 1834, declared this issue.
When it comes to Ellis Island:
Since a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in 1998, Ellis Island, which is federal property, belongs within the territorial jurisdiction of both New York and New Jersey depending upon where you are. The main building, housing the Ellis Island immigration museum, is within the boundary of New York State. Since the island was expanded over many years to its current 27.5 acres, this expansion of property is now mostly within the territory of New Jersey. The entire island remains federal property first and foremost.
On naturalization test administered to immigrants, for the question "Where is the Statue of Liberty located?", the preferred answers are "Liberty Island" and "New York", however, "On The Hudson", "New York Harbor", and "New Jersey".
Sources were the National Parks website and Wikipedia.

New York State...Yet Again...FTW :D
-
I hate New York anyway. Maybe they should teach the majority of the public who lives there how to drive. :P
-

This from people who live in a state that you can not make a left hand turn in at most places. I have to say some NJ drivers are pretty bad.
-
We're not bad, just so skilled others can't keep up. :D

Its not our fault the State makes jughandles and left turns not legal in most places...
By the way, the Rangers lost to the Devils tonight 3-2. Just thought I would share that :D
-
Steve, you going to the Devil's home opener?
I'll be there fo sho!
-
Its preseason...
Thats pretty bad that NJ's Gov't does not trust you to make a left term....
-
Blah Blah Throughput, Blah Blah Congress...
-

No, I got class. But I am going to the devs vs rags game on the 12th of Nov. I'm taking my gf for her b-day present.
-
So when's a proper time to merge this thread with the "anything goes" thread?
-
Nevar!
-
It doesn't matter that we have no Top 10 roller coaster.
We have the most famous roller coaster of all time in the Cyclone thank you.
And my favorite coaster is Nitro.
-
Holy necro post Batman!
Edit: For some bizarre reason, I thought it was 2009...
Also Nitro, welcome to GadvOutpost!
-
I completely forgot about this thread! Go Jerz!
