Look what I found!
-
Sorry the pics won't upload...
-
Trying again...
-
Just saying that it's a possibility that it might be sent to another park... but it has gathered rust since winter of '06-'07. So I doubt anyone is thinking about buying it.
(Maybe for a paperweight...)
-
It is not even on Six Flags property, if you go on Google Earth, and go about 5 miles to the right you will see this on a farm. It is scrap metal.
-
5 miles from the park. Or ......

That is alot of paper to hold down LOL ;)
-
i cant find it :P i wanted to see if i could find where u took that screen shot on google maps. i searched high and low but came up with nothing *sigh*
-
^same here, couldn't find it
-
I wonder what there going to do with the scrap metal... or just let it rot away. I hope they put in a dump or something.
-
Trust me its there.
-
Can you at least give us coordinates or something instead of just saying "scroll to the right" or "it's there." I seriously scrolled just across the county line and saw over 1,000 acres of farm land. Telling us vague things doesn't help anything and right now I'm trying to find a needle in a haystack.
-
I found it. In google maps where you go to get directions, for the ending destination type hopkins lane. It is on that road.
Or, just on the map from the park follow 537 left until you see 3 brothers pizza and C&H tire service center.
-
^ Thank you for clearing that up for people.
-
Found it, Surprised at how much space it takes up in utter shambles. It's amazing that I've gone by that area over 200 times and haven't even bothered to take a dead end road?
-
As far as I know, its been at this location since it was dismantled :(
-
I want.
-
Chuck, you'll be buying the world's largest paper weight. I wonder what happened to the magnets...
-
I believe they headed down to SFA for JJ.
-
I always wonder how come the other Premier LIM's resolved their issues but The Chiller still had them...
-
Probably because there was two sets of them lol
-
And the first (and I think only) one that had two. It was essentially a failed prototype.
-
Other than power issues, I don't see how having two separate tracks that were not dependent on each other makes Chiller's LIM's unfix-able. I think over time Six Flags got tired of putting the money and energy into fixing the Chiller that they felt it would be best to scrap the ride and forget about it. Especially with the removal of the zero-g rolls, I am sure all of the kinks could have eventually been fixed.
-
Well there was that issue with all the stress on the trains and a certain someone always breaking it coughcoughcough lol. It just seemed like that ride had a mind of its own and all conditions had to be perfect.
-
^^I think they are referring to the forward launching LIMs and the reverse launching LIMs, meaning there were 4 sets total between the two tracks.
-
The tight, compact and unique nature of the layout exceeded the capabilities of the trains and this was ultimately the demise of the ride. By all accounts, the LIM and computer problems were more or less resolved in it's last years. Well, other than the fact that budgets didn't always allow both sides to have a full set of LIMs but that wasn't the fault of the ride.
Fortunately we still have the Freeze coasters for that tophat fix :)
-
How's the tophat at Kennywood? Probably nothin like Chiller's.
-
doesn't compare to the original tophats. Skyrocket's is more of a very inclined over banked turn. Premier's new coaster in Indonesia has a similar, but larger version of Skyrocket's tophot.. arghh I hate calling these new things tophats

Yes I understand that, but the Mr. Freeze rides have the same concept.
-
I'm going on of the Freeze's next year fo sho.
-
Got 5 rides on the SFOT Freeze back in June. It seriously is one of my all time favorite steel coasters and Batman Chiller was right up there with it :(.
-
I agree Wade, it's an awesome ride!
